In Montreal...need beer help!

I'm currently in Montreal right now. While i'm well versed in canada's finest brew, i'm on a bit of a budget. Beer here is really, really expensive. Anyone been to Montreal that knows of a good place to get budget beer? What's cheap?

Uhh, drive to Ontario. Or Vermont.

Sorry. Anything regulated by the Quebec government is going to be far more expensive than it would otherwise be.

The health care isn't free. We pay really high taxes for that.

huh. I was in vancouver not 2 months ago

and the beer, while pricier, wasn’t anything that ridiculous. Bud may have been, but why the hell would you be looking at the price of Bud?

I dunno

But when I was 18 I went over to Toronto for a weekend with a friend. Near the Skydome there was a bar where all the waitresses dressed in school girl outfits (white top, plaid short skirts). Drinking Bass on tap after using my legal-aged ID in that setting was one of the highlights of my life up till that point.
