Please help me out with this
So recently Ive been looking at the baseball reference game logs for Felix, and I just noticed something that makes no sense to me.
Actually, this could work with any pitcher
As you see they have standard stats like IP, H, R, etc. but as I go along, I see: StC, StS, and StL. I assume that means Strike Called, Strike Swinging, ans Strike Looking.
what the hell?! How is a called strike different than looking at a strike?

From the glossary...
Str% – Percentage of pitches seen that were strikes (includes pitches swung at out of the zone)
StL% – Percentage of strikes that were looking
StS% – Percentage of strikes that were swinging (this includes 3rd strike foul tip strikes and foul tip bunts)
StF% – Percentage of strikes that were foul (includes foul bunts)
StI% – Percentage of strikes that were in play (any ball put into play fair)

StC
Just realized that list doesn’t have StC. Not sure what that is. Could be an error? E-mail Sean @ BR. He’s good about writing back.
