16-27
With Raul Ibanez on first in the bottom of the fifth, Richie Sexson swung at an inside fastball at the letters and popped it up about ten feet down the third base line. Several Padres gathered underneath, but none were able to make the catch, as the ball bounced out of a glove that Josh Bard extended at the last possible moment. The Padres looked around all confused-like, but the same could be said of Ibanez, and when the Padres finally realized what was going on they were able to throw Ibanez out at second by a mile.
These teams are bad.

(What is this chart?)
Jose Lopez's at bat against Trevor Hoffman in the ninth was as bad an at bat as I've seen in a long, long time.

The latter
Just like 4 people there, talking about anything to avoid the game at hand.

His name starts with a C

Wasn't me.
Someone else had that gem of a comment.

Not sure, but it wasn't me.
I tend to leave those comments to the more seasoned LL veterans.

Let me guess. It'll be me.
If Anti-GTE came into contact with Independent GTE, then the GTE we all know and love would cease to exist! Worlds are colliding!

I feel I should stick up for everyone.
Nothing really heinous occurred, CO only had a mild meltdown(that ended quickly), and nothing too damaging got said. I feel it was pretty good for a game no one wanted to watch, and only 4 people were present for in the GT.

It was just really really really dumb

I was both drunk and bored
Which is never a good combination. Sorry if I was a dick to anyone, looking at it now it doesn’t seem too over the line, it was just really stupid.

?
this could be a dumb question but wouldn’t the infield fly rule come into play there? Shouldn’t Sexson be called out whether or not the ball is dropped?

This game was so like 2005
The Mariners were trailing and, by the 7th, you just knew they were going to lose.
Whatever, M’s lose.

OT-Hamilton
Umm Jeff, after going to last nights Rangers-Houston game i conceed that Hamilton is the best postion player in the AL West….
Maybe a list like

By just using VORP data so far this season for the AL West
Hamilton 20.2
Bradley 15.5
Kinsler 13.7
Raul Ibanez 13.5
Kotchman 11.5
Young 10.6
Hunter 9.8
Kendrick 9.6
Murphy 8.6
Chone Figgins 8.5
Ichiro Suzuki 8.4
Jose Lopez 7.5
Thats out of the top 90 players in VORP according to BP. Just seems odd with me to see no Vlad

This was such an awful game. I can't believe 35-36,000 showed up to watch these teams.
I think when Batista said he “figured it out” i think he didnt mean figured out how to succeed i think he meant figured out he is done.

They didn't show up to watch these teams.

Even though the Rays lost, those of us who participated in the DRaysBay invasion saw a thrilling game.
Our game here in Seattle is going to be an enormous letdown.
