Holliday Available?
Per Rosenthal:
But Holliday, an All-Star left fielder, might not be in Colorado much longer if the Rockies do not revive soon.
The Rockies, 10 games back in the NL West, almost certainly would consider trading Holliday, knowing they stand little chance of keeping him long-term.
The Rockies signed Holliday to a two-year, $23 million deal in January, but could lose him as a free agent after the 2009 season and receive only draft picks in return.
I don't know how true this is, but:
Would Holliday be any good in Safeco?
Is there anyway we wouldn't trade the entire farm if we we're to acquire him?

Well he's a 28 year old right-handed outfielder
Who for his career is .364/.426/.664 in Colorado and .274/.333/.445 elsewhere though looking at his recent years he’s been around an .850-.870 OPS away. He’s probably still going to command alot more than he’s worth via trade or free agency.

What his defense like?
Whenever I’ve seen him on tv he’s been a circus, but I’ve heard that he is decent.

Soon to be 11 games back.
Felix Hernandez may be The King, but Justin Upton is a GOD.
1998 Expansion Teams Reign Supreme!
That would be crazy if they traded Holliday
He’s basically their franchise player.
Anyway… park neutralized career OPS per B-R: .888. And I’m sure, aside from leaving Colorado, as a RHB, Safeco would kick his power numbers’ ass.

I love how Rosenthal "reports" stuff

Jesus Christ….
The Mariners MIGHT acquire Alex Rodriguez from the Yankees because the Yankees COULD be interested in trading him IF Hank Steinbrenner goes on a bender knowing that MAYBE the Yankees MIGHT COULD ALMOST ASSUREDLY not recover from this season’s SORTA bad start.
If that’s all it takes to be a national sports “rumormonger”, fuck I can do that.

Rosenthal
for the most part happens to be actually accurate with his rumours. Rosenthal often does cite unnamed sources. Unnamed sources who for the most part, are telling him accurate stuff.
But, if you can do it, then, by all means, go ahead. Let’s see how many execs, GMs, scouts actually talk to you.

I hear Labor Day is a free agent.
...and now I'm here
I'm hoping the Mariners sign...
Memorial Day. Remember him?
Pregnancy takes nine months, no matter how many women you put on the job.
The Mariners are going to sign Victoria Day, instead.
He’s available a week earlier.

Exactly where in the rule book it says that the home team cannot decide which rules will be used?

Oh, I'm not sorry to see him gone
I’m just ruminating over the draft pick that we surrendered for no reason.
