5/12: Open Game Thread, Part 3
You know, the more we lose, the more awesome the late-summer comeback would be, if we were good and could win ever.

You should say "New Thread up" Jeff,
and then not have a new thread up.
Some people cut themselves. I root for the Mariners.
I was just teasing...
since you said that the third thread would be the House thread…and House is over here—in the real part of America.
My part of America: 0% Hartford

That was college
were it not for East St. Louis I would’ve gone to school in the worst city on the continent.
by Jeff Sullivan on May 12, 2008 7:22 PM PDT up reply actions
At least you lived...
not sure that is possible in East St. Louis. Man, it is hard to drive through there. Have done that a few times—even hard on the Interstate.
I am guessing that you didn't...
go to SJC, was it UH or Trinity? Those are the only ones I know. I had a friend who’s sister went to SJC years ago.
Cool...
hope the degree was worth it. And that you can use it now.
Still have some friends in Oceanside and Carsbad. Might have to visit So Cal someday.
What I've learned is that college degrees get you interviews
and nothing else.

Would that be a safe haven, there?
I am not that far from a Waffle House here in the north part of Houston. Doesn’t mean it is the greatest part of town.

"If he's hurting credit to him for battling through it"
NO NO CREDIT BATTLING THROUGH INJURIES IS BAD
It's hard to tell if Baek is actually hurt with that face he always makes
And Mel isn’t a Baek-whisperer, apparently.
Because he was already getting so much flak
diminishing returns and all that.

Either back spasms or a hip problem..haha...funny
I fucking hate you Mariners
For the DRaysBay invasion
We gotta be real casual like – just show up and act like you’ve always been there – we’re not bandwagoners, after all, we’ve ALWAYS been Rays fans.

In Johjima's defense
It’s been tough hitting with Washburn making squinty eye/buck teeth faces at him from the dugout.

He's pitching now
And still crapping it up, I think.
Thanks, Wikipedia
“The Padres then converted the strong-armed Bush to a pitcher. His fastball reaches a speed of 95 mph and he has prior knowledge of pitching from his days as a high school ace. After a promising start in rookie league, Bush tore a ligament in his pitching elbow and is not expected to pitch again until the 2009 season.”
That sucks almost as bad as the Josh Hamilton story. At least Hamilton has a somewhat happy ending now.

97 measly RBIs are not impressive.

Mariners= humanitarian team but get terrible luck
BWAHAHAHAHA
“Vidro’s got some talent too, kind of an under-the-radar kind of guy.” -Rangers Announcers
Sooo much there… I think I’ll go with “how can something that fat be under the radar?”
Anyone else? It’s a comedic goldmine

I guess he could be under the radar

ok Sims, now Loafie's not the hardest strikeout in the American League
good thing you beat it to death while you had the chance.
Well with all of the people
who died in that cyclone in Myanmar, you’d think he’d be respective. Yes I know that tornados and cyclones are not the same, but the basic premise is similar.

It's not even the same type of natural disaster.
Why would anyone assume they were related?

Tidal waves and tsunamis aren't the same thing.
But people always think of one when the other is mentioned.

That's stretching it Coach.
I could argue that he should not mention the heavy winds against his arm to be respectful of Myanmar. I can also say that he shouldn’t use the phrase “well stroked” as it is insensitive to rape victims.
...and now I'm here
You know what?
They should stop talking. By talking they are being insensitive to deaf people.
...and now I'm here
Both nouns
Like an ice cream machine and waving

One of those can be ice cream
The other can be feline Aids.
...and now I'm here
Tornados are sensative.
He should be more respectful.

This game is going too quickly.
I need more of my life wasted.
...and now I'm here
RRS has attitude...I love it
I fucking hate you Mariners
And there's the ballgame!
Following Jeff’s game outline perfectly.
So ESPN talking Griffey/Seattle now...
Accidently flipped to ESPN’s start of Sportscenter: “Who wins if Griffey goes to Seattle?”
Also; fuck you Lopez.
They came out with the NFL Power Rankings today too.
Also: Fuck you J-Lo.
