WFB workin' on that Golden Sombraro

I wonder if he pisses on it to give that fine Paulsbo shine.

Whoever fucking thinks its a good idea to put Bloomquist and Cairo in the same lineup should be shot in an alley

If I was Squinty, I would bitch to Lincoln, Armstrong, and Bavasi every single moment about how shitty they constructed this team. Fuck.

by Fin on May 10, 2008 8:23 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

You do know that Miguel Cairo is on this team because of Squinty, right?

I’m not excusing Bavasi for making the worse bench ever, but Cairo is only on the team because McLaren wants Willie Depth.

by JLC on May 10, 2008 8:25 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

I did not know that

Well FUCK Squinty too then.

by Fin on May 10, 2008 8:26 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

The organization selected Cairo over Norton

Because it’s more important to have speed off the bench than it is to have a hitter.

Raul Ibanez

Defensive wizard.

OMGGGGG

How can they not understand how much Ibanez is costing this club???

Are they in denial?

Well, goodnight LL

Thanks for the fun

Who's "Raul"?

With all this shit he’s causing, he’s entered into the anti-matter universe and had the polarity of his “u” reversed.

This is depressing on so many levels.

In order to get more people to post in game threads

I will, for the remainder of the weekend, recommend every single post after this one. You can’t lose, people.

The front office needs to trade for Ken Griffey Jr.

He will bring this team a much needed spark and infusion of veteran talent.

by BrianL on May 10, 2008 8:35 PM PDT up reply actions   1 recs

Package Clement, Wlad, and Triunfel.

That should just about enough, right?

by BrianL on May 10, 2008 8:36 PM PDT up reply actions   1 recs

Put Aumont in there too.

Whats a trade without throwing in every future pitcher you have?

Roar chomp munch munch

I knew the game was missing something

BAEK TO THE RESCUE

He will give up negative runs, enabling us to win 1-0

by vkut79 on May 10, 2008 8:37 PM PDT reply actions   1 recs

This game very well could be 1-0 in favor of Seattle

if it wasn’t for Raul.

Even if this isn’t true I’m blaming this loss on Raul.

no my bad I mean 6/7

One of the home runs “would have happened anyway”

I just read part of Art Thiel's Out of Left Field

1. If Yamauchi had his way and the M’s signed Nomo in 1996, they might have been able to win it all in 1997.

2. That book is hard to read. Thiel’s “prose” is competent I guess but…rather Washburnistic.

by Frosty Raptor on May 10, 2008 8:43 PM PDT reply actions   1 recs

Washburnistic?

Containing elements indicative of Washburn’s pitching, I suppose.

by Frosty Raptor on May 10, 2008 8:47 PM PDT up reply actions   1 recs

If we had re-signed Mike Jackson

or had one decent relief arm we might have been able to win it in 1997.

What about Scott Sanders’ collapse. That was probably the worst thing to happen to the team. Going into that season a Johnson/Fassero/Moyer/Sanders/no God no not him rotation looked beastly on paper.

by JI on May 10, 2008 8:46 PM PDT up reply actions   1 recs

I doubt it.

Only Johnson and Fassero were K pitchers

by JI on May 10, 2008 8:52 PM PDT up reply actions   1 recs

Which is why I was shocked by the stat

I think I read it in Street and Smith’s 1998 season preview.

I don’t get it! Someone explain this to me!

Damn you Mariners

Why did I keep this game on? Joseph Heller and I were doing well together, and then I look up and we have… runs. So now I return
