MLB Power Pros
I wouldn't normally post this, but I found it hilarious, and I don't know what to do, so....
I was playing my M's season and I decided to attempt a Ho/Reitsma/Mateo for Bannister/Greinke/$$$ trade. Because you have to wait 3-5 days for the trade to be accepted or rejected, I chose to sim ahead. In the meantime, I got a trade proposal from the Yankees. They wanted to trade Ching-Ming Wang for .... Willie Bloomquist. Apparently Virtual Bill Bavasi can also force other GMs into bad trades by eating ten chicken strips at once.. I immediately accepted the trade, but I then felt guilty. It's such an obviously lopsided trade that I'm not sure I should go through with it. I leave it up to you: should I send the pride of Bremerton to New York, or should I do Cashman a favor and reject the trade?

Just bought this game for Wii
a couple of weeks ago. Definitely a blast to pitch and hit, but fielding drives me nuts.

Me too
but I found that I got incredibly overpowered hitting-wise within about a week. Then I overcompensated so that I couldn't score more than two runs a game (sound familiar?). I'm trying to figure out how to get it right... and then I had a 13-12 win at Toronto. WTF?

Nothing drives me more insane
than when the ball is hit into the gap and the AI keeps switching you back and forth between the two outfielders, causing you to be constantly directing them *away* from the ball. Ben Broussard (playing because Guillen broke his collarbone) is literally costing me at least a run per game. Granted, he's also no pace for ~74 homers, but he's terrible in right. He's so bad, I might have to free created Adam Jones from the minors.

I'm tempted to turn auto-fielding back on.
(Or just keep playing MLB 2K8, which I seem to be the only person on earth enjoying.)

Auto-fielding is bad, too
At least, it seems to be in the Success mode (although it probably hurts that all the fielders on your team have F ratings). I'm constantly amazed at how often the AI goes for the aggressive play over the safe one (EG: Ichiro on second, grounder deep to second, second baseman tries to get Ichiro at third).
It doesn't kill the game for me, but it's worse than MVP baseball (which also had incredibly annoying problems at times).

Thank you!
I almost feel embarrassed to admit that I absolutely love that game. The pitching is awesome, and the fielding is pretty solid. The graphics somehow got way worse compared with last year, but I've gotten over it. I'm not happy, but it's still a blast to play.
Also, they released a patch for the Xbox 360 version today that cleans up the frame rate a little bit, which is nice. I've played it, and the difference is noticeable, though it surely could have been better. It also fixes some online shit, from what I understand, but I don't play online (I'm annoyed enough by humans in my regular life. No need to add more.)

I traded Sexson straight up for Ryan Howard
Now, I really like having Howard on my team (and he's cheaper!) but I feel moderately guilty.

I've got Griffey, Ortiz and Manny on my team.
I traded all of nobody important for them, but they did all have really shiny batting averages. Sexson for Griffey straight up was awesome, as I could barely get Sexson to hit over .200, and Junior is leading the team with a .521 and 26 home runs in April.
...and now I'm here

One time back in the glorious land of MVP 2005
Travis Hafner went down with an injury, in order to stay in the playoff race Mark Shapiro looked to the Mariners for an obvious replacement, that was on the trading block. Boom Boom Willie Bloomquist. I was offered Willie for Grady Sizemore straight up. Willie would get his vengeance on me later in the season, when he some how hit a homer off me... but Grady would end the season with 25 homers and a grand slam in his first Mariner at bat.

Im MLB08
my character was an 18 year old SS who was OPSing over 1.000 in AAA. The M's called me up to the big leagues and managed to give me about 10 ABs in the last 2 months of the season as they lost 90 games and I watched my stats dwindle from lack of PT. Sometimes these games are so accurate it hurts.

Pft
I made an 18 year old 3B man for the Giants last year and despite hitting over .400, breaking DiMaggio's hit streak and leading the team in OBP, and OPS it took the majority of the season to be named starter.

Um....
I just threw my first video game no hitter EVER.
I've barely ever come close.
I won the game 1-0(King Awesome driving in Ichiro with a double)
As the Mariners...
the pitcher was....Kyle fucking Lohse.
Holy shit was I surprised. It was against TB, too. Im now 6-2 or so on the season...im in shock that I accomplished that haha. On the hardest difficulty no less.
