Geoff Baker says it's not raining right now.
As far as the weather reports, it's supposed to be without precipitation at game time tomorrow, and Sunday is anybody's guess.

Tigers Bullpen is Horiffic
Their only saving grace is their offense, and Verlander. They better hope Zumaya gets healthy.
Bonderman seems to be having troubles as well. He is touted as being pretty good, but right now he's definetely "iffy". I don't think many people have any confidence in Dontrelle Willis or Kenny Rogers being significant +win conributors either.

I can't stop laughing
but really, i think of them as the 07 yanks. terrific offense, so-so bullpen, and a bunch of clowns in the rotation. They can go far once the bats lose their rust.

Though, at least his eyes are open. And the bottom guy (not sure of his name, because fuck the Orioles) looks really jazzed. Like, he's the only person that even cares. All the other guys are like "fuuuuuuuck" and then he's all "yeaaaaaah"

Did anybody actually see this movie?
If Pinocchio has a cocaine problem and he lies about it, does that make it worse?
by Goose on Apr 4, 2008 5:31 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Is it a real movie.
Besides this screen shot I have no proof of it's existence.
by JI on Apr 4, 2008 5:32 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Now you see
this would have been a great time to bring in Dickey, but no, he's in Tacoma.
by IceStormV1 on Apr 4, 2008 5:30 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
Why the hell isn't he up?
We have room for him now.
by Smegmalicious on Apr 4, 2008 5:31 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
This is bad
Washburn redefines suck after 90 pitches.
by OlSalty on Apr 4, 2008 5:31 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs

Is better then mediocrity at 90 pitches

MLB tv is behind
I thought you were reacting to him homering.
by Graham on Apr 4, 2008 5:36 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Wow I thought Yuni died there
GameTracker said he didn't swing at four consecutive pitches
by seattlebruin on Apr 4, 2008 5:34 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
Wonder if he takes the walk...

Yikes swinging 3-0...
and didn't get it.

Hey now, he can't walk!
Where's the fun in that?
by Perrinbar on Apr 4, 2008 5:36 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
I hate it when we use up our walk quota for the month

Ichiro is hurting the team today.
And to think, I could have chosen to support the Yankees or Red Sox...

Wash still in
Squinty McClusterfuck strikes again
by IceStormV1 on Apr 4, 2008 5:38 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
Good to see Washburn working the count
Throw fucking strikes.
by Alex B on Apr 4, 2008 5:38 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
Washburn is a gamer
That's why he's still in the game, guys.

Hahahaha
Oh Jarrod Washburn, you crack me up
by Graham on Apr 4, 2008 5:40 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
By all rights
Wash should not be pitching. Blame Squinty
by IceStormV1 on Apr 4, 2008 5:41 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Washburn hopefully won't be needing his for much longer
DFA please.
by Alex B on Apr 4, 2008 5:43 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Wash up over 100 pitches...
Wow, that was like CLOCKWORK.
*Visiting Angels fan* Never give up, never surrender!
by TheOptimist on Apr 4, 2008 5:41 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
Baltimore commentators = FAIL
"Kevin Millar! Use that short porch!"
by Alex B on Apr 4, 2008 5:41 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
DAMNATION
At least it was predictable. 90+ pitches = not good for Wash.
Previously NoNameX -- Go M's!
by JLC on Apr 4, 2008 5:41 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
What do you mean?
Every pitcher can go to 100 pitches and only 100 pitches. Didn't you read The Book?
by Smegmalicious on Apr 4, 2008 5:42 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
In fairness
I would've left Washburn out there as well. No use burning up the bullpen if you can avoid it.
by ThundaPC on Apr 4, 2008 5:42 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
Yeah, but we know what happens when Wash hits 90
by Graham on Apr 4, 2008 5:43 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Wash hitting 90
On the pitch count = team implodes
On the radar gun = head asplodes
by Alex B on Apr 4, 2008 5:45 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
This probably should have been avoided though.
That's the point of the bullpen
by brayden04 on Apr 4, 2008 5:43 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Haha nobody cares about the Sonics.
If Pinocchio has a cocaine problem and he lies about it, does that make it worse?
by Goose on Apr 4, 2008 5:43 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
Stop Blaming McLaren....
expecting the guy to pull his starter with 2 outs and no one on base in the 5th inning because he's @ 100 pitches is just silly.
Not one manager in MLB would pull his starter in that situation. This is just petty.
by PLU Tim on Apr 4, 2008 5:43 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
Yes, but they should
Washburn falls apart above 90
by Graham on Apr 4, 2008 5:49 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
So, what was Washburn's exact pitch count there?
I stepped away from the TV and walked back in to see him trotting round the bases.

Figured as much.
I know it was right about 90, and he had 2 outs on the board for the HR.
