Geoff Baker says it's not raining right now.
As far as the weather reports, it's supposed to be without precipitation at game time tomorrow, and Sunday is anybody's guess.

Tigers Bullpen is Horiffic
Their only saving grace is their offense, and Verlander. They better hope Zumaya gets healthy.
Bonderman seems to be having troubles as well. He is touted as being pretty good, but right now he's definetely "iffy". I don't think many people have any confidence in Dontrelle Willis or Kenny Rogers being significant +win conributors either.

I can't stop laughing
but really, i think of them as the 07 yanks. terrific offense, so-so bullpen, and a bunch of clowns in the rotation. They can go far once the bats lose their rust.

Though, at least his eyes are open. And the bottom guy (not sure of his name, because fuck the Orioles) looks really jazzed. Like, he's the only person that even cares. All the other guys are like "fuuuuuuuck" and then he's all "yeaaaaaah"

Jose Vidro is a good hitter because he works the count and takes pitches.

Also, he was very professional
on that pop up. You could tell he's done that before.

Well he's always the first one to the ballpark
That kind of stuff doesn't show up in the boxscore.

You think Johjima is pissed he has to hit behind Sexson, Wilk and Vidro?
by JI on Apr 4, 2008 4:34 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
Wilkerson is not bad. Repeat this to yourself. Wilkerson is not bad.

Oh he's bad.
But we have worse. That's our problem.

Wilkerson is NOT bad. When is an .800 OPS bat with decent defense bad?
WILKERSON IS NOT BAD.

You assume he can put up an 800 OPS and play defense.
Quite the assumption.
by JI on Apr 4, 2008 4:37 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Your assumption that he can't is far more moronic than my stance that he can.

No.
He's a slow .230/.330/.440 guy, decent backup, but a crappy regular.
by JI on Apr 4, 2008 4:40 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
He's a good defensive .240/.330/.470 guy.
His raw power is the best on the team.

that's not saying much at all, just because he's better doesn't make him good

Average isn't bad though.

He's no longer a decent regular.

in his MLB career he hasn't exactly hit behind the best players

he could cement it if he brought a shotgun to the game and plastered Big Suckfest all over the opposing first base coach.

Washburn looks terrible...
Even for being Washburn.
by SethGrandpa on Apr 4, 2008 4:45 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
A few groundballs through the infield, 2 Ks, and a good amount of groundouts.
This is actually pretty decent for Washburn.
