(Sort of) Balentien update

Here's the link, though it's not much to look at:

http://blogs.thenewstribune.com/mariners/

The upshot is that the Rainiers manager told Mike Curto that Wlad's x-rays were "negative" (whatever that means) and that the doctors think he's got "a bad bruise." I still don't even know what happened to him in the game, so I can't say if this "news" is any good. Only seventy two words.

The best cure for skin cancer is laughter.

Bruises OK

Blown out ligaments and broken bones not OK.

It appears he’ll be fine with some rest. Great news.

Thank God.

Even if he has to miss a month with a “bad bruise” it beats the hell out of a broken kneecap or torn ACL/MCL.

If they are doing x-rays...

If they are doing x-rays instead of an MRI wouldn’t that mean that they were more worried about a break rather than ligament damage? Maybe the swelling is so bad they can’t get in there yet with an MRI but maybe this is good news.
