it's genius

give Wilk some confidence by allowing him a RBI hit and they keep him on the roster for another year

by Tony S on Apr 20, 2008 2:10 PM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

To be fair

there was like a 65% chance of that happening anyway.

by Jeff on Apr 20, 2008 2:11 PM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Ok I'm starting to get tired of defending Wilk...

Even though he is admittedly still our best option.

by OlSalty on Apr 20, 2008 2:30 PM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

The Vidro trade was the stupidest trade I've even seen

I can totally see them re-signing Johjima because the M’s don’t cut veterans loose until the completely roll off a cliff. They’d then move Clement D… holy shit that is stupid.

Barry Bonds died for your sins.

by JI on Apr 20, 2008 2:34 PM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

How can that be the stupidest trade you've ever seen

When that same offseason we traded Raffy Soriano for Horacio Ramirez

They’ve tried to defy the success cycle by spending way more on seasons where they were supposed to rebuild.

is it just me or have airline costs

gone through the rough in the last few months? They were already bad, but I was checking into Amsterdam back in November and it was ~650 for non-stop from Seattle with only 2 weeks notice. I just checked for July and it’s like $1200
