Does Toronto really need both Adam Lind and Matt Stairs?
Lind is currently hitting .360/.411/.640 in AAA Syracuse, and Matt Stairs is splitting time in Toronto's LF with Shannon Stewart and Marco Scutaro (seriously, the Jays have 5 middle infielders, so they're playing them out of position - Ricciardi's being intermittently possessed by Peter Angelos and Allard Baird, it's the only explanation for some of his absurd decisions).
Wouldn't Stairs look good in RF for the M's, especially compared to Wilkerson and Morse?

probably wouldn't look good in RF
but might look pretty good as a DH. If the M’s are so content on playing Vidro they could platoon Stairs/Vidro at DH.
With that said I really don’t wanna give up anything of value for Stairs.
Bradtastic!!
Who wants Matt Stairs?
He doesn’t really provide much more than a couple dozen other, cheaper 1B/RF/DH types can.
Yeah
Given that they seem intent on freezing out Lind with Stairs/Scutaro/Stewart, why wouldn’t we just go for Lind?
I was assuming they were smart enough to keep the young cheap guy
over the pudgy 40-year-old guy.
But if not, by all means let’s get Lind.
Tell that to this guy

Three things
1) Scutaro only started that single game in left because Texas was starting a lefthander, Stairs is platooned, and Stewart has a minor groin pull.
2) The Jays probably value Stairs more than another team, given that he’s Canadian, has decent pop, and sells t-shirts.
3) You can’t have Lind. No, you can’t.
