ATTN Firefox users: Anyone having LL problems?
For some reason halfway through the game on Felix Day, every time I tried to access LL the page stops loading before it starts. All day yesterday and today, it just wouldn't let me in. Thinking it was just a problem with SBN, I tried accessing other SBN blogs -- it worked. I tried deleting cookies and all other private information, and still no avail.
Thinking I was banned, I tried accessing LL on my roommate's computer through FF. That also worked, and I could even log in.
Finally, I tried getting here using IE. Success! But I hate IE and love FF, so I was wondering if anyone else here has had a similar problem. I've never had a problem like this before and I want to fix it immediately.

No problems here.
I’m running Firefox 2.0.0.14.

I just upgraded to
Firefox3 beta 4 and that’s problematic – I can’t stay logged in. So now I use Safari3.1 just for LL and FF3b4 for everything else. Once FF3 is out of beta it will kick ass – everything else is very smooth.

FF 2.0.0.13, I had the same issue, plus a few others
but I upgraded to FF3b5 and have not had a single problem since.

That's the one I have.
I think I’ll give 3b5 a whirl.
Hmm... Needs more Bonds.
It worked!
I’d still like to know what the hell happened on 2.0.0.13, though. I wasn’t planning on going with FF3 until it was completed, but seriously, fuck IE.

no problems on FF2 or 3b5
I have problems with mlb.tv in 3b5(hence the reason why I also kept FF2), but nothing wrong with LL
Here, try this
A how-to on making Firefox faster. It helps, especially when reading this site.
Though I find that setting the maxrequests to 8 rather than 30 works just fine, while taxing the SBN server far less.
Yeah, I remember this being brought up before.
I’m actually very glad I got this advice.

Supposed to be in response to Gomez.

I have a ton of addons.
I briefly went to FF3, but probably 80% of my addons were then completely useless so I went back to FF2. In your experience have most addons caught up to FF3?

No. But there's a workaround.
Get the Nightly Tester Tools extension, and it allows you to “force” your addons to work with FF3. Tab Mix Plus, unfortunately, does not work with this, but if you go to the TMP developer page, there’s a version there that should work with FF3.

It did this to me at home, too.
But at work, when I loaded FF 3b5, it’s fine.

My high school used to ban netscape.
Said it was porn.
Also, the parental controls on AOL back in the day would not allow google searches, even if the setting was “teenagers.” Only adults could google search, for whatever reason.
These are random tidbits I talk about to avoid writing these three articles about hernia diets.
...and now I'm here
Wow...
I was living in the stone ages at home on my OOOOLLLD Mac, using FF 1.5 or somesuch. I was having all kinds of problems with this site and GMail and a few other things. I finally took the time to upgrade to FF 3B5, and now my computer as a whole runs tons better when FF is open.
Moral of the story: OLD Firefox SUCKS DONKEYS, IE Sucks Donkeys, and everyone should switch over to FF 3—even in Beta 5…
