Isn't Crosby the guy who is supposed to make me care about Hockey?

Yes, but that is because Gary Bettman is a goddamn retard.
You should be excited about Alex Ovechkin and Mike Richards
/Flyer fan
But seriously Crosby is a giant whining pussy

Exactly.
My team is playing his in the playoffs and I can’t even hate him.
Even if I was a Pens fan I would probably be annoyed with Crosby’s pansiness

My team is also in the playoffs and we have him on our side!
And I most assuredly hate all the Flyers. Perhaps if you had Ovi I would have cautious respect for the man (/child). The way the last day of the season turned out I was worried about my Caps having to play the Flyers as you guys got a pretty good team up there.
Considering I’m also a M’s fan, it’s been a lean fews years and I’m totally prepared for the inevitable collapse. Color me happy with team but somewhat pessimistic on their chances. This year anyway.
Ovechkin is ours for the next 13 years and you can’t have him.

Hahahaha yeah I really can't hate you guys.
Yeah I think you guys might have a letdown after playing playoff games for the last month, but I’ve been wrong before.
Also, while he obviously isn’t as good as AO, I feel the same way about Richards. I’m so glad to have him locked up longterm.
It’s really too bad we’re playing each other, as there aren’t any other East teams I don’t want to die painful deaths. (Sorry Jeff)

Yeah Seriously.
I like the Sens but OMG what a collapse. Montreal also, as they play a really good game. Everyone else aside from My Caps can go fuck themselves. And Cindy Crosby is a WATB (Whinny Ass Titty Baby)
I miss the old Patrick Division
Fuck You Gary Bettman.

He really does like an absolute vagina.
I know jack shit about him, but he just looks like a crybaby.

Ovechkin looks like an old-school hockey player.
Also, I love that he has such energy for the game.
Obviously I want them out of the playoffs, but AO is a better player, IMO, than Crosby and 1000000000000X more manly.

Still a better write-up than anything you read on HH.
Not that I read HH. I get my info from visiting Angels fans... as do most of us.

At the very least, there were some funny stories from pseudo LL night.
Before the game I got Joey Gathright to sign my ticket. I asked him to write "Mad Hops" underneath his name. He got to "Mad h" and started laughing, said he couldn't do it, then gave it back to me. Trey Hillman signed for me too and talked to Deanna and I listened/threw in some quips. Trey's a really cool guy.
In the 3rd inning, since the seats were so empty, we moved down to my normal seats in RF and started heckling Guillen. They were putting fun "Mariner Facts" on the screen, so I'd yell things like "HEY GUILLEN! KENJI'S FAVORITE SNACK IS TOAST WHAT'S YOURS?" and when they stopped it became "Come on Jose I need more fun facts help me out!" and then things like "Do you prefer paper or plastic!?" I was starting to have to make things up. Am I missing anything particularly funny? Fill in if I missed any good moments Gomez, Deanna....
In the 9th Jose came out and was looking around. I waved, he waved back. I asked him again what his favorite snack was and he turned around and just shrugged. I then said "Hey, if you guys have to win at least thank Zack for the Fantasy start!" he waved his hand. Then I yelled one more "Kill the Angels for us Jose!" He nodded emphatically, and all of us cheered. Jose Guillen is still awesome. Most fun I've had at a terrible, terrible, loss.
By the way, I apologize for the Olivo homer. I totally called it :(

I jokingly suggested during one AB that someone, I forget who, was going to go deep.
It might have been Peña, per the Pablo Ozuna Postulate. Brett said he would kill me if it came to pass. I said if Peña put a ball in play, in the air, I was preemptively leaping from my seat and running for my life.

and Emery is a nut case.
For the noobs.
Gerber and emery are their “goalies”
Before the Capitals were “good” we were 4-0 when no one else in the east had a winning record against them.

Top line got hurt
depth players didn’t step up, goaltending was inconsistent (although Gerber’s been terrific lately), defense has Redden.
by Jeff on Apr 15, 2008 9:36 AM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Depth players REALLY didnt step up
I mean, Antoine Vermette, when you get a chance to get big minutes stop fucking up.
They should have let Emery play.
by PShwa on Apr 15, 2008 10:12 AM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Emery didn't earn it
His time in Ottawa is up, and I’m not particularly upset about that.
Vermette finished strong, but they’re going to have a decision to make this offseason about him, since he’s an RFA. I’m really excited for this offseason, though. The talent that took them to the Cup is still there. They just need to fit the right pieces around it. Re-sign Stillman please.

I knew Jeff wouldn't write anything
After the Sens and M’s both lost and as well he shouldn’t. I couldn’t write anything about that bullshit effort the M’s put out there last night. I can’t believe before the game I was excited for that. Grrr.
by phil333 on Apr 15, 2008 8:10 AM PDT reply actions 0 recs
To show how uninterested I was in this game:
I didn’t wake up once last night to check the score on my phone. That hasn’t happened all year. Last year, I would wake up several times and there was even a game against the Angels [the one where JJ struck out Vlad to end it] where I actually got out of bed to watch the end of the game, in the middle of the night, with work in a few hours time.
This season is looking like it is going to suck, and that really upsets me.
And to think, I could have chosen to support the Yankees or Red Sox...
