the amoutn of pitches EOF is getting
is what Morrow should've experienced last year
http://seattlesportsmaniac.blogspot.com
Maybe they figure they'll just blow his arm out
No need to send him to Tacoma then!!

The worst part of the wave is when it takes place during the opposing team's ABs.

The worst part of the wave is that it exists.
A day or two ago, I noticed that the crowd jumped up right as the pitcher was making his delivery. I soon realized they were doing the wave, but for a split second I imagined that they all just saw a huge meatball coming out of the pitcher's hand and were already cheering the homer that was about to happen.
I'm easily entertained.

because with Bedard out
they're down to an 10 man staff.... burn up the crap pitcher in a blowout.

Appropriate answer to "Will EOF go to the DL."
1) Yes
2) No
There aren't any other answers to that question that make sense.
True. The question you asked made no fucking sense.

B) no, he isn't

Is it just going to be one game
or like last year with an M's game and a minor league game?
Dave has a busy schedule
so I think it'll just be a block of hours eating and drinking somewhere. But don't take my word for it yet.
by Jeff Sullivan on Apr 13, 2008 3:40 PM PDT up reply actions
Works for me
I'll actually be up there this year... Looking forward to it
Here's the tentative plan
NONE OF THIS IS GUARANTEED
Several hours in the afternoon: eat, drink, be merry
Following: those with tickets go to the game, those without stay put and watch on the Tap House Grille's event room bigscreen
by Jeff Sullivan on Apr 13, 2008 3:43 PM PDT up reply actions
Hm I'll have to catch a redeye out that night to get back to NY
But I should be able to stay till around 8 or so.

Let me know what you want tickets for, I usually only offer them out a week in advance to the LL regulars but if you don't want to buy M's tickets on your trip I can cover ya. I know Red's already got tickets to King Awesome Bobblehead night in his Boss's seats, so he'll be there.

Though I haven't played since I was 19, and I'm not 19 anymore. Baseball is fine as long as we're not nazi's about the strike zone.

We played stickball for a bit yesterday
And people were unhappy at the struggle just to play that, so yeah, baseball would probably be impossible. I'd be up for baseball but I may be in the minority.
just whoever wants to play I think

Argh
June 14th = my sister's graduation from college.
Lame. I'll need to sabotage her finals.
The artist formerly known as Katal
Man, you guys are late up there
My graduation date is May 8th...
Nah, she's WWU
So I'll have to drive up to Bellingham, attend a 2pm graduation, go to dinner afterwards, then speed down to Seattle, trying to make it to Safeco in time, without looking like a bad person for choosing LL over family. =/
The artist formerly known as Katal
I'm in a more impossible position
My mother and brother know next to nothing about the area. I can't really leave them.
An intriguing idea. We can try.
It depends on the graduation schedule and how feasible it is to get out of UW and to Safeco, on foot or by taxi, without running into any trouble. Getting tickets certainly wouldn't be a problem. They're not big baseball fans, but we DID watch last year's HR derby on TV and my mother had a reasonable interest in what was happening. I'll float it if it's logistically possible. I'm sure my mother would be keen on visiting the ballpark. 3+ hours in Safeco may be a bit of a grind for a non-diehard, but they may be willing to take it in, especially if I'm there to explain what's going on.
Hell, I skipped my sister's weddings
While I'd love* to skip my own graduation while my family's in town....

Okay, I understand not wanting to burn the pen
But this is ridiculous.
And why the fuck did God allow Jeff Mathis to hit another homerun...against US?

Neat. One of my favorite shows.
I've got a buddy who was a greenhorn this season on one of the King crab vessels. No idea which one, though.
That show is mis-titled
It should be called 'most retarded fishermen' or 'idiot rednecks on a boat' or something like that. Especially since it's not the most dangerous job in the world and yet they constantly say it is.

Have you been having Problems w/ Netflix...
the last few weeks?
They haven't been processing my returns as quickly
But at most things will show up a day later than they're supposed to.
Me too....
I know they changed their system, but movies I've sent back aren't showing up as received for days.
Yeah, before a few weeks ago I would be getting emails
at like 7 AM saying they had received everything. Now I don't even get them sometimes.
God....
Anyone could have taken "The Field" against Tiger for EVEN Money in the Masters....
Tiger is unreal and all, but that's a bet that I should have refinanced my house for.
Rauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul
...and now I'm here
Sexson suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks
...and now I'm here
So who's getting called up when EOF is sent down today?
Feierabend or Dickey?
Anyone on the waiver wire we should fear Bavasi picking up?
Feier, especially if Bedard is out, because they probably don't see Dickey as a starter.
Though I'd love to see them use RRS.
...and now I'm here
Rhodes isn't ready yet, is he?

God, if Raul was DH.
I would be soooo happy.
...and now I'm here
Is there a reason why you can listen to the entire post-game on the radio
But the TV post-game is cut off?
Kreuger just called Morse's defensive crap a 'little bit of a misplay'
What a load of shit. Our sports media is fucking horrible.
What do you want him to call it?
A gloriously spectacular failure? Because that's a whole bunch of "I'm going to get myself fired" if he said that.
...and now I'm here
Didn't catch the game...
not enough time to scroll through game thread. Is EOF being sent down?
Someone say something witty.
Wouldn't be that surprised at this point
Maybe it'll be good for him, so he can get a little confidence back. I think just about anyone would be pretty shaken by this recent string of awful outcomes, some his fault, some not.
I have a feeling that if he goes down
we're not going to see him again until September.
That may be true, but....
It depends on how well Rhodes pitches when he returns. One thing is for sure, RRS will be seeing more time after tonight
The minute Rhodes is healthy enough to pitch he'll stick on the ML roster.
This is a McLaren staff we're talking about.
Depends upon his personality
and if he's experienced this kind of failure before. I wish him the best, I totally thought he was ready to step into the left handed set up role.
Someone say something witty.
He hasn't pitched as poorly as most people think.
He definitely hasn't pitched as poorly as Bill Kreuger thinks.
won't be Feierabend coming up
if they make a roster move... he's pitching for Tacoma today.
Midnight Baseball - No Lights - Only in Alaska!
I have to say
Everyone here is great, and I love Seattle, but man do Seattle fans suck. Bretticus and I were getting booed the entire game for not remaining quiet during the game and for not cheering on the hydro races.
The artist formerly known as Katal
Casual fans are pretty fucking terrible
I think this is pretty much universal around the league.
My belief is we have the second worst casual fans in the game.
The worst fans belong to the Angels.
Their non-casual fans tend to suck a lot as well.
...and now I'm here
yeah, I bet LAnaheim's casual fans are fine
Nothing wrong for saying things like "I like it how our team always wins the division" or "Vlad is pretty good!"
It's the non-casual Angel fans that suck.
The artist formerly known as Katal
Hey, I'd take our casual fans over Red Sox
fans of any stripe any day.
