I think I would have put Manny on there.... 2nd and 3rd two outs, Manny already having gone yard on Mussina... I'd rather take my chances with Youkilis then Manny.
Instead 2 run double Red Sox back on top 3-2

Me and my buddy were chanting at him that "Justin's Better"...after we got a few more people on the landing to chime in he turned around after a pitch and flipped us off. Which only egged us on more, of course.

That must have been a hell of a popup
Allowed Ankiel enough time to circle the bases and wait on home plate for the catcher to drop the catch. That's how it happened, right?

On Gameday it says he hit the homer to CF
But then if you look at the location of the hit, it seems to be behind home plate. Maybe he hit it so hard that it circumnavigated the globe and ended up behind the catcher.

Why?
Silva gets a bad rap, he's a pretty decent pitcher. He's not gonna blow other teams away but he also won't give the game away either.

I thought he sucked too...
until I read about him from somewhere else than USSM. I soon figured out that he isn't a bad pitcher, just a wildly overpaid one. If the Mariners signed him for what, 3 or 4 million a year, it'd actually be a good deal for the mariners, but paying a middle of the rotation starter 12 million a year is just stupid. I suppose USSM used its groupthink powers on its readers to convince them he's a bad starter. (the last sentence was sarcasm, I realize there is no way to interpret sarcasm into text on the internet).

4 years 32 million, but I dont' see him as that much better than RA Dickey, or Feierabend (though he did suck last year, but looks decent in his one start this year)

It was pretty awesome
I've still got a mixed bag of GTE lingering from last night, it was that good.
On the one hand, I'm still really pissed about that defensive debacle of an 8th inning that almost gave the game away. That was disgraceful and it's happened way too often this season. I think if I see another one of those two error innings with the game on the line I might just snap and throw my beer through the t.v..
On the other hand, I'm overjoyed that we won and have a pretty good chance of winning this series now.

So in the NLCS last year, Justin Upton, after sliding hard
into 2nd base to break up a DP, was hit by a pitch in his next at bat. He was a little pissed and Troy Tulowitzki told him "Hey calm down, we didn't want to hit you, we want you in the box. Because your nothing but a .200 hitter." (this is paraphrasing, but it's close).
20 year old Justin Upton, after going 3-3 with his 5th homer today(which is tied for the major league lead) is now hitting .415/.447/.805.
Tulowitzky is hitting .159/.245/.205.
The DBacks are 9-2. The Rockies are 5 games back at 4-7.
What now Tulowitzky? Who's the .200 now you little bitch.
Felix Hernandez may be The King, but Justin Upton is a GOD.

"Why would we hit you?" Tulowitzki barked. "You're a .200 hitter! We want you in the box! Shut up and go to the bag!"

In other news, the Braves released Player A.
The Braves released Spiezio on Saturday after he showed up to a AAA Richmond Braves game unprepared to play Friday, according to Braves general manager Frank Wren.
"We had an agreement with Scott," Wren said. "There were three things we asked him to do: No. 1 is to continue his aftercare, which included testing, No. 2, that he attend AA [meetings] and No. 3 he would show up at the park every day ready to play. And yesterday he was not ready to play."
Wren declined further comment on why Spiezio was unprepared to play. Spiezio’s agent Barry Meister declined to comment on specifics on Saturday as well.
Felix Hernandez may be The King, but Justin Upton is a GOD.
