This is a bit old but,
last night on the Science channel they were running a show called: Baseball's Secret Formula: Sabermetrics.
It was pretty cool, although the stuff they went over was pretty basic to most of us it was presented in a way I guess that might be easier for others to enjoy. My gf was watching with me and was pretty shocked to see why sac bunting and intentionally walking a guy are BAD things.
I think the program is from last year so no idea when it'll be on again, but here's the Science Channel's baseball page:
http://science.discovery.com/convergence/baseball/baseball.html
Gives you an idea of some of what was covered. Also the most ironic part, Bill James naming Joe Morgan to his all time Sabermetric all star team.

Huh.
I'd love to get a copy of this. I should force a few of my friends to watch it.
They better not have revealed the secret formula
Billy Beane had Stomper guard the safe where it's kept, but I guess you can't trust elephants.
The A's colors are green and gold.

is this something you'd have to be a scientician to understand?
I like shiny things.
Nice Guys Finish Third - Hopelessly lost, but makin' good time.
I don't understand it either
My college coursework didn't teach me to understand complicated scientific and mathematical theories, it just taught me the names of the people who came up with them.

Also something a bit old
Tango had something over at his blog talking about how many runs a 1B saves by being good at catching throws. Sexson did rate well. I can try to go find it if somebody wants me to. It wasn't a huge difference though.
You watch the "Science" Channel?
Pfft...nerd.
It was 10pm
and I was flipping through my HD channels and saw "Sabermetrics" and "Bill James" how could I not watch?
The poster formerly known as Matt.
