The games are almost a week away, and I wanted to check in with everyone who expressed interest in or already going to the games.
Limerickx, DCMariner, Ben in Va have you guys already bought tickets? If not do you guys want to get a group of tickets?
Either way, would you guys (and sandalfan) like to meet up before or after any of the games?

Sunday game
I have a whole carload of moron friends that will be accompanying me to the Sunday matinée affair, a.k.a. Bedard's return to Camden.
A great place to take in a pint or 6 before the game is Slider's, beyond centerfield.

Don't like Sliders
The best place was Max's, but it's gone now. There are couple places farther down on Pratt that are much better, but their names are escaping me. I know one has a parrot logo. If you're willing to walk a bit, head to Federal Hill or Fells Point, lots of good options in both neighborhoods.

Probably 15-20 minutes
They are in opposite directions. Federal Hill is a little closer. I don't know, I'd ask around if I were you. I'm thinking it's probably comparable to the walk from pioneer square to SafeCo, but I might be off on that.

Sliders
For general proximity to the park (read: spitting distance) and the bevy of cheap eating options on the grill right next to it, I dig the place.
Granted, this is based on one past experience when a group of us got good and tuned up before the M's were here last time. Not sure what the experience is like if you are looking to calmly enjoy a good beer or two.

I'm going both Sunday and Monday
Sunday I should have a carload of people with me. Tentative plan is to grab food/beer before the game somewhere and then pickup tix at the gate. I'm assuming availability isn't going to be an issue?

I wouldn't think so, but I don't know the fanbase all that well.

I'm going on Sunday
Haven't bought tickets yet (my gf and I) but I'd be happy to get a group of them. Also would be down to meet up before or after.

It's sounds like Sunday is our big winner
If it wasn't the first weekend of baseball I wouldn't worry about tickets, but as it is I'd prefer to buy tickets ahead of time just to be safe. You guys cool with that? BHP, do you want in on tickets for Sunday or are you set?
I like the idea of going to Sliders before the game if for no other reason than it's close to the park. If it's not that great we can always try another place.

Hey Limerickx
I'm planning on buying the tickets for Sunday's game this evening. Do you have any preference for where to sit? I've never been to Camden Yards before, so I have no idea where the cool kids sit.
If anyone else wants in on tickets, let me know!
