ESPN Is So Ridiculously Awesome
I present to you Rob Neyer's list of who he expects the top fifty players in baseball to be over the next five years. Prospects were not included.
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/preview08/columns/story?columnist=neyer_rob&id=3310373
Who made the list: Cano, Pedroia, Kinsler, Kelly Johnson, Melky Cabrera, As-Cab.
Who did not make the list: Felix, Putz, Lincecum, Cain, Hamels. Do you notice anyone else?
ESPN is so good.

I don't agree
Don't get me wrong, Evan is a fine player but to have him as the only acceptable prospect is an insult.

It appears that he is undervaluing
pitchers; if the list is viewed that way, it is OK.

I saw this
and was going to post it, but didn't bother because ESPN blows and it's like beating a dead horse. However, I am surprised because Neyer usually isn't this stupid. Maybe it was an intern who had to fill in for him or something.
If any of you read the ESPN article on NBA players and who their role models are, I'd have to say that that list is possibly even dumber. Examples) Durant needs to play with the more intensity, he played with intensity at Texas, but can he keep it up for 82 games? So he should play like Iverson. Later on, it shows Thaddeus Young, and it says he needs to play with more intensity, and who better to learn from then Mr. Intensity, KG. Or Carl Landry, is too much of a role player, and needs to learn to be the man, so he should learn from Paul Pierce. Or Joakim Noah, needs to learn an outside shot, so he should be more like Dirk. Also, Dirk plays with intensity and I kid you not here's a quote "While Noah's passion is great, over an 82-game season, as a starter, I think he'd wear down some".

ESPN demonstrated its irrelevance when it asked
WHO'S NOW?
