March 30: Opening Day Eve Event
Alright, this is going to happen. It will be held in downtown Seattle at my place. We have a lounge area with a big screen TV, room for enough people, a kitchen and a patio area with a grill. The address is [no longer needed] and being Sunday, there will be free street parking of which there is an abundance of along [your mom] There are also plenty of paid lots if you choose to be dumb.
If you want to attend: I'll ask you to RSVP here in this thread. It's a controlled entry so don't think you can just show up without warning. Also, I own several firearms and was trained in martial arts by Chuck Norris.
I will also ask you to bring something. Beer, liquor, food, paper plates, something. And please list that here as well so we can avoid 10 people bringing chips and no one bringing salsa. Again note that there is a grill handy so burger patties, brats, hot dogs, steaks, BBQ chicken, tofu-based products whatever. Bring stuff you want to consume and we'll all end up happy.
The area is ours (read: mine) from 3-midnight. First pitch for the Braves-Nationals is 5:05pm.

I figure beer is the first thing to go.
I'm there
I can pick up a box of store baked
so put me down for that and a 12 pack of either Fat Tire or Kokanee
You know I'm there

Who's bring the ladies?
I will do my best to be there.
I will bring some beers because you can never have enough beer. I may have to bring some real food too. Maybe a casserole or some fried rice.
My wife is sounding like she wants to bail on Felix Day
So I may be packing one ticket for face value of $22.

Man, this might be worth the drive.

I will bring
Sounds like a blast!
Given that I live on the Eastside and it's a Sunday I'll also have to sign up as a tentative yes, but I will definitely do my best to be there. If I can make it out, I'll bring peanuts and cracker jacks. Some beer or soda as well, depending on what I'm in the mood for.
Cheers, bitches!

hmmm...
That's strange
I'll be there at 6:30
Hey carpoolers
I'm up in Capitol Hill... not too far from Matthew's, but a pain to walk.
Worse comes to worse I can come get you.

Probably 2:30 or so.
It should take about a half hour to get down there for me, so that's the best time.

I've got to back out.
But we've gotta start planning a LL softball game. I'm eager to smack some balls around with a cylindrical object.

Speaking of this,
where is everyone sitting opening day? I'm in the 300's somewhere, but I didn't buy the tickets so I have no idea where I am exactly.
...and now I'm here
CF bleachers..but likely to stand around in the CF 'beer garden' that isn't a beer garden..or stand above the bullpen
I fucking hate you Mariners
I think I'm in 346
Obviously my tickets were bought late.
...and now I'm here
108, row 27

If I remember and wander, I'll "holler"
You're probably the most recognizable since you've got photos of yourself from all the LL events.
...and now I'm here
Somewhere in the 100s on the 3B side
far back.

Agreed
this is the kind of stuff that makes being out of state no fun.

Graham could just move to Victoria.
Victoria wishes it were England anyway, so there wouldn't be much change.
I don't know if they still do
but back when I was in college, Victoria's tourist slogan, at least for those of us in Washington, was "Victoria - More English Than England!".
I immediately wanted to go up there, get really drunk, and get in random fights.
Nice Guys Finish Third - Hopelessly lost, but makin' good time.
Alright, we're one day away
So I'll pose the question: given the list above, is there anything here anybody believes we're missing? If it's within reason, I may see about trying to cover what needed items I can. I'm not moneybags or anything, and I'm already looking at bringing $30-40 worth of goods, but I figured we should get an idea of what else we could use if nobody else is bringing it, and if anyone coming could bring one or more of those things.
Napkins?
We're going to have a lot of food that involves crumbs and condiments after all.

got those covered
hamburg/hotdog buns on the other hand...
I'll bring a dozen or so hamburger buns and hotdog buns
Worst case scenario, we run low and someone (probably me) can run and get more.
Have katal give you a ride

I'm the unofficial LL Event welcome wagon
as opposed to Graham... who's the official idiot hammer.
PS Thanks again for the ride! It would have sucked to have had to figure out which bus to take up the hill with a melting icecream cake on my lap.
Not a problem.
It's easy to get on the freeway from there when Madison isn't all jammed up.
