Jones rebounded nicely from yesterday's intrasquad game, when he misplayed a fly ball and ran into two outs on the basepaths.

So obviously, trading him was the right move; he's clearly incapable of handling a regular OF job, right?

Poor Kam Mickolio. Hopefully he rebounds and finds the strike zone again. It's either that or he's learning from George to get all of your crap outings out of the way in february/march.

They were talking about how McPhail knew Patton had this concern, and how they were shooting for 2009 w/him pretty much anyway.

Weird.

I'm really happy GS51 is getting his opportunity to close in the bigs. I just wish he didn't have to be banished to the still-laughable Baltimore org to get that opp...

I had one of my fantasy drafts last night.

I have an outfield of prospects:

Hunter Pence
Matt Kemp
Rick Ankiel
Jay Bruce
Adam Jones

Mike Cameron will take over for Ankiel when his suspension is over, but I am excited to watch these players.

I draft according to who I want to watch play, not really to win. Although, my infield is stacked and so is my pitching.

YAY! for Adam Jones! The savior of my fantasy outfield team!

Why would you use Cammy over Ankiel? Ankiel only hit a HR for every 15.6 AB. If you're sticking to starting your "favorites" then this makes sense. Otherwise...not so much. You outfield would be sooo money in 2010.

For what it's worth, Cammy is a FA in all of my leagues so far.

This is a deep league.

12-teams

9 Pitchers
Full infield + MI and CI (middle and corner infielder)
5 OFs
1 Utl
5 Bench

22 players start everyday in this 12-team league. Very deep, this is why I have Cameron.

I am also not convinced about Ankiel's ability (could have pulled a Willy Boom-boom, except with more power). Plus, he has Colby Rasmus breathing down his neck.
