LL Sport Gathering Circa Thanksgiving
So, football? Or something (hockey!!) ?
Friday after turkey day? Saturday? Sunday (booo) ?
We need votes on both issues so... um... yeah. Have at it.

No one that works retail is going to be able to come Friday or Saturday, most likely.
Just throwin’ that out there.

What time do you expect to get off work on Black Friday?
by katal on Nov 3, 2008 5:50 PM PST up reply actions 0 recs
I can not imagine any situation where Friday works for me.
Saturday might be swingable depending on how late in the day in day it is. Regardless I am up for some Saturday night drinking. Heavily if possible.

Although me playing football might not be the best idea.

For those that are 21+
myself, my lovely wife, and a few other friends are going to the Supersuckers/Green River show Saturday night the 29th. There will be much drinking. Said drinking will probably commence at the Lava Lounge, move to the Nitelite, then on to the Showbox. If anybody wants to join, awesome; if not, and if our weekends were to coincidentally intersect anyway, so much the better.

uhhhhhhh showtime?
I think it’s a doors at 8 first band at 9 thing, at least according to the showbox website. First band being Zeke, we’ll probably show up at the showbox around 9.30 – I’ve seen Zeke before, they’re fine but having seen them a few times I’m in no great hurry to see them again.

speaking of showtime
how was the Sonics? I heard from another friend that was there that Little Steven showed up and played with them. Envy is a reasonably sufficient word for what i was feeling as I kept getting photos texted to me Saturday night.

Even though the future is uncertain and bleak? You would knowingly turn down the opportunity to get it on, get up, take the beat by riding with Zeke?

Donny’s wife cuts my hair, at the barbershop under Rontrose Heathman’s coffee shop. I think the Zeke/Supersuckers Tacoma combo-pack thing is pretty cool.

I have nothing against Zeke as such
it’s more that I’ve seen them enough times that if I miss a few minutes/half/all of their set it won’t kill me. Where is Rontrose’s coffee shop?

Only place in T-town that serves stumptown, which might be attractive to me if I liked coffee.
It’s a great place, and the barbershop is great. And it’s 2 blocks to the Parkway, one of T-town’s great neighborhood bars. I can’t think of a situation in which you might go to Tacoma and not Seattle, but if you do….

I don't even know if any of the days work for me it
I’m just saying the discussion really just needs to be about Friday vs Saturday (sat seems better for most) and what.

New thread sounds good
For whoever wants to put it together. I’m too worn out from work today. =/
Friday or Saturday are perfect for football. I just want to know what day asap so I can make other plans for the weekend.

Okay, I'm out.
