Sweet, sweet schadenfreude
Even HH admits that bandwagoners are not only plentiful in Anaheim, but also cheap! A good read for anyone who hates the Halos. (Or, more specifically, their fans.) It's one of the most ridiculous stories I've read lately, and I'd be shocked if it didn't qualify for a major newspaper feature.
Call me naive or biased, but I just don't see that kinda stuff happening in Boston, regardless of the metric shit-tons of all-of-a-sudden fan support.
Maybe we just have stricter return policies out here.

I've decided I hate the Rev's fandom, opinions on baseball and blog...
…but having learned more about his life outside of HH (and his fantastic musical tastes) I think he’s a pretty cool guy.

Hasn't Jeff always said that how he acts on HH is just that, an act, meant to cater to the idiots over there?

HH simply has idiot commenters.
I don’t know all that much about the quality of their writers though.

It's easier to be an idiot then to be intelligent
If all he has to do is be an idiot to win over his readers and community, why would he do anything more?
It’s survival of the fittest.
In the M’s blogosphere blogs written by idiots die off because nobody reads them because there are blogs not written by idiots. In the Angels blogosphere there aren’t, so a blog written by an idiot can thrive and survive.
He’s probably capable of more and he’s just not being challenged enough because his readers demand nothing from him.

Popularity makes people feel good?
SBNation advertising revenue?
That’s one of those questions that’s just better left unanswered because I’m not sure there’s a good reason

That still operates under the huge assumption that there is a reason to root for the Angels
for which there is none

Especially given that the argument is that the Rev is cool
and there is definitely no reason for a cool person to root for the Angels
