10/5: Open Rays Thread
I'm trying not to let my hopes get too high for this game. I hear BJ Upton's too lazy to sweep.

Fiddle me this, Fiddle me that, I would enjoy on appearance of Monsieur Fiddle J. Cat.
Brad Ziegler had a scoreless inning streak. Brad Ziegler had not met BJ Upton.

I've been a casual White Sox fan in this series because of Griffey
but then I realized today that Horacio Ramirez is with the ChiSox.
Fuck that. Go Rays.

Against a lefty, up 2-0
they might as well sit Pena if he isn’t 100%

Someone from HH just went to DRB. I'm scared.

I have full faith in The Face

The very idea of the Devil Rays ever being good seemed far-fetched before this season and yet it happened. There is hope for all teams, even Seattle.

I expected them to be way better and a lot of fun to watch.
I did not expect them to be this good.

I thought they were an 80-85 win team, fringe contenders for the wildcard.
Thank you for exceeding my expectations, Rays.

Yeah, I told friends and co-workers that they'd be over .500.
But because of the East, I gave them something like a 10% chance of making the playoffs. So yeah, I expected them to be pretty solid, but not quite this good.

If he wasn't so lazy he would have hit it a few innings earlier.
Lazy bastard.

Sadly some 'Rays fans" think this way, hence why he gets booed.

You "hm"ed me yesterday
while I was being sarcastic too. I just wanted to see how you would respond when it happens to you.

I want the rays to be AL champs
but I have a soft and fuzzy spot for Moyer. Go Phils.

Pena had no clue on that pitch!
Go Sox!

No, you want to root for the Angels.
If this series goes on for 5 games, it will REALLY help the Rays by exhausting out the Sawx.
Now with 100% more Canuck.

Heard on the radio broadcast on the way home from Tacoma:
(Paraphrased, after the Thornton/Aybar collision at first)
“I know Matt Thornton really well, and I know he’s one of the best guys in the game. Willy Aybar just showed how much of a gentleman and a class act he is right there.”
I wonder if his wife would agree.

Huh
33 comments in a Rays thread. Did football and the weekend reoccupy THAT much of the bandwagon? Or did a bunch of comments get nuked?

I was busy during the Rays game, so I don't know what happened.
Looks like others were as well.

I was driving home.
But I laughed and flipped off The Big A on the way, though, so I did my part for good.
