Not that he is great at switch hitting, just that allows him to get more playing time.

Well it's not like they have a powerful lineup.

I mean they’ve got 29 combined from Manny and Bay, and 29 with Youkilis, and 23 with Ortiz, 19 with Drew, 17 with Pedroia, and 17 with Lowell. They’re obviously a small ball/run manufacturing team

Boss: Can you make 10 double-sided photo copies of this report and assess the future allocations for me?

Me: Sure will.

I just hate the hype surrounding most of these quarterbacks.

No credit ever goes to the offensive line or the wide receivers who do the hard work. Then these quarterbacks get drafted and suck ass in the NFL. They are all just a product of the team around them.

by Wilder. on Oct 11, 2008 8:22 PM PDT up reply actions

Daniel's pretty awesome, though.

He’s a system quarterback, but he throws a great ball.

by Teej on Oct 11, 2008 8:23 PM PDT up reply actions

He's also 5'10"

Not going to survive in the NFL. But I do agree he throws a strong, crisp ball. Maybe he should look into pitching.

by Wilder. on Oct 11, 2008 8:24 PM PDT up reply actions

There are roughly 30 men on Earth good enough to be an NFL quarterback.

Doesn’t mean some of these college kids aren’t awesome in their current environment.

by Teej on Oct 11, 2008 8:24 PM PDT up reply actions

I would say that number is really around 10.

And it’s not they are bad, it’s just that their teammates get no credit.

by Wilder. on Oct 11, 2008 8:27 PM PDT up reply actions

Linemen, definitely. But receivers usually get more than enough credit.

For example, Daniel’s best receiver is also a Heisman candidate.
