Guess who's back...?

I'm back!

Well, not yet exactly, but I'll be going back to Seattle for the long haul next Tuesday, 2/5.  When I left on 1/15 for Charlotte, I thought I was never going to come back Seattle. :(

The circumstances behind my departure is best left for a prime time drama like Grey's Anatomy or something (another Seattle reference), as it is too emotional and to long to discuss here.

Regardless, I was in Charlotte for half the time and at Myrtle Beach the other half.  I was desperately seeking employment here, then I started throwing resumes for jobs in Seattle just for the hell of it - and a few companies actually bit!

The last week in Seattle before I left was extremely depressing (just ask Brett)...but this is a brand new opportunity as I've bought some time the last 2 weeks here in the Carolinas.  I also got to see family I haven't seen in a few years, which is totally cool.  However, being in the south for the last 2 weeks has taught me something - Seattle is awesome compared to the dirty south.  The south has NO good looking chicks, seriously, I really looked - all of them are fat, extra fat, morbidly obesed, pizza-faced, or just downright ugly...I always had this idea of the existence of the "southern belle." Well, I guess they all moved up north.

I'm soooooo happy right now!!!  See you all soon!

Welcome back.
And re: southern girls...ew.

I had the same experience. I have family that lives in Texas, and I swear I saw more attractive women in the Phoenix airport than I did in all of Texas.

I reject your reality and substitute my own!

Austin doesn't count
It has no right being in the South. It's way too cool for that.

Arizona
has a disproportionately high number of hot girls though

I always figured
Arizona girls came in 2 classes:
  1. They grew up in Seattle, but rich mommy and daddy have a summer home down there, so they got as far away from the rain as possible.
  2. They got into UW but didn't certify for their major after 2 years of classes, so they went to WSU, partied too much, flunked out, and finally moved down to Arizona where their rich mommy and daddy have a summer home.

You're forgetting an entire class
of Arizona girls that go to Arizona and ASU because they couldn't get in to USC/UCLA.

It always warms my heart..
to hear people talking about how gorgeous the women at my alma mater are... :-) Go Devils!

There is a reason I decided to stay in Arizona after graduation after all - and it wasn't the weather.

U of A women are better
unless my wife (UA '94) isn't reading this, in which case I'd have to agree.

She isn't reading this.
She's over at my house, where I'm ruining her for all other men.

That's good of you
just make sure you give her a meal before you send her on her way.

The absolute jewels of the midwest
relocate down there too. Really rich hot girls from any part of the country end up in  Arizona. It's not just Seattle

Not to start another beer thread but...
The god awful beer here...ugh

All the bars here only had Bud, Coors, Natural Ice, the the light varieties - and they were so proud of their low prices.

Let's just say I stuck to Jack while I was down here in Charlotte/Myrtle Beach.

I've been converted - any deal for Adam Jones is no deal! Find another trade bait!

Congrats on escaping the South, Bill!
Did they not have Highlander beer in Charlotte?  I had it up in Durham and was pleasantly surprised.

BAKER IS BACK
I'm glad you found some work and are on your way back.  After living in Seattle, most other places do seem like a pit in comparison.

Also, Vegas has the same crappy beer selection.  Their idea of quality imports are Heineken and Newcastle.

Also
Recalling our phone convo, apologies for sounding aloof, as I was actually expecting an important call right at that time and I was having a crappy day besides, so when it was you, it completely threw me off.

Hey, take it easy
on the Newcastle... that Nut Brown Ale is pretty decent.

It ain't no Sam Smiths
But yes, indeed, it's rather decent.  It's a constant choice of mine, actually, when Sam Smith's isn't on sale...

I've watched enough college football
to know that you have to go to SEC country for the hot southern women. ACC country isn't cutting it.

Welcome back Baker!!!!
Now we can get some LL Football or Whiffleball going again. You may not have realized it, but you were the catalyst we needed to get those off the ground. Without you, all we had was Brett's enthusiasm. Course, we lost another valiant competitor to missionary work, but it's hard to blast someone for their missionary style. Sometimes you just have to mount up and ride it through to completion. After two years though, he's bound to be chafed.

With all due respect
I've been all over the country, and Seattle has, by far, the ugliest women in the country that I have seen. I'm tempted to say even Detroit is better looking. Seattle women are frumpy, dumpy, chunky, unkempt and smelly. The rest are Norwegian. Ick.

This is, naturally, a matter of debate. Just my 2 cents.

Willie is ours, and you can't have him

Southern girls
You guys are crazy. I have been all over, and never seen more beautiful girls than I saw in Alabama. The girls are so beautiful that I've made the Crimson Tide my #1 choice for law school. Seriously, that is not a joke. I'm going there for law school (after I am done playing) because of the girls. It was not right how many beautiful girls there were there.

Seattle girls are NOT good, but I wouldn't say they are the worst in teh country. I spent 4 years in DC at a school that was comprised of 80% girls from Maryland, PA, NY, MA, CT. Now those were some ugly girls. Seriously, from Maryland up it is cruel and unusual punishment. Thank God I am out of that place and in a much sweeter place!

Copenhagen = WAYYYYY better than Paris
