daniel cabrera was also mysteriously pulled from his winter league earlier this week also. Maybe the deal is for bedard and cabrera. I know the m's have always wanted cabrera but where are you gonna play him if this is true.

How much do GMs put into what the media says.  I mean, Bavasi has had to have seen that most people would agree trading Jones for anything outside Jesus is kind of dumb.  I think I saw one writer who thought it was a good idea.  I know the front office guys could care less what "dumb bloggers" think, but  do they assign any merit to anyones opinion but their own?  You think after the crapshoot that last season was, with the critique Bavasi got following those dumb trades, he wouldn't do it again.   I suppose the question I am getting at is: Do GMs completely ignore the media?

Or did he get picked up in a black helicopter?

an o's insider just said that the mariners are not going to include triunfel.

I doubt it has any legs. But I bring it up for this reason:

Knowing that this trade will be made, and knowing Adam Jones is involved, how much/who can the M's give up where you won't kill someone. When I saw Jones/Tillman/Sherrill, I realized that I wouldn't be beyond hope if that ended up being the trade. I wouldn't be unhappy, but keeping Clement, Wlad, Morrow (blech), and Triunfel would at least raise my spirits a little.

Thoughts?
