The M's...
It's a possibility based on play so far in September, I suppose, but that would mean a season-finishing stretch of 8-28.
You might also consider the caliber of the opposition the next 10 games (after this series) is considerably worse than what we faced during this collapse (no teams below .500): Oakland home/away (terrible offense) and Tampa Bay at home (unbelievably bad defense, worse than ours, even). I don't think they will faceplant those games. They might even go 6-4, 7-3 and give some false hope.
I think we are looking at something like 83 (if they really suck the rest of the way) to 87 (if they perk up some) wins... which is at the higher end of my predictions, but about where I saw them- improved, but flawed.
