Really Rut Roh....
Bout to be 14-7....

Keep your composure fellas.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:17 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Fun 1st Quarter....
Let's hope the next 3 are just as enjoyable.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:23 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Dammit...
Locker is trying too hard to throw the ball. Tuck it and run!!

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:27 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

That throw...
worked just fine.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:28 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

GO FOR IT!!!!
Screw the kicker!

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:30 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

I'll take it....
17-7!!

Now just defend the kick return.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:31 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

I don't give a shit...
about Boise's 40 points a game.

It's the damn WAC.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:33 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Nice....
time for 3 and out.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:33 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Man
This Husky team looks so much better than they have in years... Locker's rookie gaffes aside.  Locker is a freak.

by Gomez on Sep 8, 2007 1:33 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Also
I wouldn't be surprised if the Huskies won this game by two TDs.  Boise State's ranking is all rep right now.  Zabransky meant a lot more to that offense than people want to let on and with him gone... they're a WAC team.

by Gomez on Sep 8, 2007 1:35 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

That's what....
everyone is going to say if UW wins this one by a large margin.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:37 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

It's not really a diss
The WAC is a mid major, competitive but not Top 25 competitive.  BSU has most of their guys back, but Zabransky really meant a ton to them.

They're starting to hit their passes, though, and string together a drive...

by Gomez on Sep 8, 2007 1:38 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Dammit!
Generous spot there!

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:36 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

The UW defense
is doing a great job of sticking their tackles and putting guys down as soon as they get bodies on the ballcarrier.

by Gomez on Sep 8, 2007 1:36 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Yeah they are...
the tackling has been really good.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:37 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Boise State is not looking as fast as they did
last year.

Or maybe UW's looking faster ;P

by Gomez on Sep 8, 2007 1:37 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Come on boys!!!!
Stop these 3rd downs!

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:38 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

UW's getting TOO spread out
They're leaving gaps all over the place.

by Gomez on Sep 8, 2007 1:39 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GUNHEIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:40 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

That was a huge play by Gunheim
Probably the big momentum swinging play of the game.

by Gomez on Sep 8, 2007 1:41 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

That's....
a nice tackle by that BSU guy.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:42 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

OHHHHHHH MAURICE
That was a beautiful spin off the defenders!

by Gomez on Sep 8, 2007 1:43 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Er, Reese
you get my point.

by Gomez on Sep 8, 2007 1:44 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Marcel Reese!!!!!!!!!!!
We've been waiting for that!!!

The kid is just a BEAST of a WR. How he's not a bigger playmaker is astonishing.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:43 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Dammit, the Washington Huskies ...
have a fucking tough schedule this season.

Right now, my hope is that the team finishes with a 7-6 record; that'd most likely bring about a bowl game appearance. My expectations would rise with a victory against Ohio State at home next week, though.

Anyway, I'm still in awe that Isaiah Stanback wasn't moved to wide receiver last season to make room for Jake Locker. It might've worked out with Locker not being redshirted and immediately tossed into the fire.

Locker better not get injured at any point, however, as the steep dropoff from him to Carl Bonnell is deeper than the Grand Canyon.

Oh well, that's in the past ... and the future is now!

by AK1984 on Sep 8, 2007 1:48 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Toughest in the nation...
If they win 6 games it's a pretty impressive season.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:49 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Alright....
Gotta stop the run.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:48 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

EJ Savannah.....
is going to be an all-american....

If he can keep his grades up. SACK!!!!!!!!!

Can someone tell me how Bellevue can be considered one of the best school districts in the country but both JR Hasty and Savannah can have grade issues?

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:53 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

This is ballsy.....
4th and 9!

Crush em!

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:54 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Dammit....
you can't let that shit happen.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 1:54 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

LET WLAD BAT!!!!

by MFAN on Sep 8, 2007 1:57 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Alright.....
do you go for it here or just pack it in for the half?

Depend on the kick return?

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 2:00 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Alright....
this isn't how I envisioned this working out.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 2:02 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Well
That's probably the first time the BSU pass rush has really broken down the pass protection.

by Gomez on Sep 8, 2007 2:03 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Okay.....
Gotta prevent the big play here fellas.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 2:04 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Oregon....
31-7 over Michigan....

Lloyd Carr may be fired at halftime.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 2:08 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

The 3rd quarter
would be a great time to pour it on.

by Gomez on Sep 8, 2007 2:08 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

So.....
Yes, i am looking ahead....

Will this put the Dawgs in the top 25? Man that would be a good feeling.

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 2:27 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Absolutely
Especially if the win is convincing.

by Gomez on Sep 8, 2007 2:30 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

GO DUCKS!!
I'm still not comfortable with the lead...they have an explosive offense and our defense blows, so we shall see!
I fucking hate you Mariners

by kentroyals5 on Sep 8, 2007 2:27 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

STOPPED HIM!!!!!
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

by PLU Tim on Sep 8, 2007 2:31 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

I will say something...
This defense looks a bit inexperienced, but I'll tell ya what -- it's developing into the Husky defense of old.  They're really swarming the ball nicely.

Time to kick it into another gear, and beat BS to get them ready for their tough, tough, tough schedule.

Wow, and now they've blocked the FG.

WOOOOOOOOOF!!!

THE DAWGS ARE BAAAAACK!!!

Drops bad, catches GOOD.

Holy crap
Oregon 39, Michigan 7 in 3rd quarter!

Lloyd Carr is gonna get fired.  LOL.

by Gomez on Sep 8, 2007 3:19 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

I'm not much for football
but that's a pretty cool win.

by Jeff Sullivan on Sep 8, 2007 3:46 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

It's good to see the Pac 10 is showing
everyone that they're the elite conference, with WVU and Louisville blowing on defense, and Michigan sucking big time.  Hopefully LSU or Florida sucks it up a bit, but not tonight, becuase I have 10 points on both to cover the spread.

Statement win
Boise State is not what they were last year, but they're not your average WAC team.

UW probably hits the top 25 after this.  They look SO much better on both sides of the ball than the last few years.

by Gomez on Sep 8, 2007 3:55 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

hell yeah they do
Only it turned out drug dealers and pimps appreciate art.

by wadswerth on Sep 8, 2007 3:58 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

I don't think
it'll get them into the top 25... so far Boise is the only ranked team to lose today.... with Oregon's demolishing of Michigan they'll likely make a jump to the top 25 before the Dawgs do... beat Ohio State and the Dawgs will definitely go into the top 25.

by MfaninAlaska on Sep 8, 2007 3:59 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Beating
Mich in there own house seems to be pretty easy this year though
Only it turned out drug dealers and pimps appreciate art.

by wadswerth on Sep 8, 2007 4:01 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

true
but its still going to hold more weight then beating someone at home by 14..... even though its a tougher team.  And since Oregon had received more votes for the polls than Washington they'll get the benefit of the doubt 2 games in.

by MfaninAlaska on Sep 8, 2007 4:13 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Let's see how Hawaii and TCU do
Hawaii's on the road today against an opportunistic Louisiana Tech team.

TCU has a tough matchup with Texas.  Sure, a loss to a top 10 team isn't a dealbreaker, but with two convincing UW wins... voters may think otherwise in this early going.

Also, Texas A&M is going to OT against unranked Fresno State.  If A&M goes down....

by Gomez on Sep 8, 2007 4:06 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Wooo
Go Dawgs,  Ohio st is going down
Only it turned out drug dealers and pimps appreciate art.

by wadswerth on Sep 8, 2007 3:56 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

I think they have a good chance to beat OSU
especially at home.  Ohio st. looked far from dominant today against Akron.  Their defense looked good, but UW offense > Akron offense.

I think the nation should be on upset alert next week.

LET WLAD BAT!!!!

by MFAN on Sep 8, 2007 8:49 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Can the front seven contain Chris Wells?
If the answer to that is 'yes', then we're looking at a legit shot at an upset.

by Gomez on Sep 8, 2007 9:14 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

New Polls are out
Oregon gets into the top 25... Huskies are still unranked but their vote totals went up by a good amount.

by MfaninAlaska on Sep 9, 2007 12:51 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Sounds right
There were too many upsets and big wins by fringe top 25ers for the UW win to stand out.  Not enough top 25 teams got knocked down.
