Tacoma vs. Seattle

So far in 2007:

Tacoma (Balentien, Clement, Green, Jimerson, Johnson, Jones, Morse, Reed), in 120 plate appearances: .808 OPS

Seattle (Everybody else): .758 OPS

Small sample size, etc, etc; but anyway, those young guys have just killed us, huh Geoff Baker.  I guess that these weak of character, inexperienced fellars somehow found a way to hit the ball in the bigs - and it August and September no less!  Black magic must be involved.

I think the blogosphere should switch from rooting
for the Seattle Mariners and officially switch over to Tacoma for the rest of the year... change the title at USS Mariner to USS Rainer, start ordering some personalized Rainier jerseys (do they make those?) and so on.

If they won't put the best players on the team, maybe we should root for the best team.

If you take the Rainiers' bats,
you have to take the Rainiers' pitchers too.

In other words, Go Mariners!

Ryan Feierabend, Jorge Campillo, and John Parrish
At least Horacio Ramirez only pitched once every five days.

Hey now
Parrish pitched less than 5 innings in Tacoma.

And it's not like Jeff Weaver wasn't sub-Campillo for months at a time.

Oh, and we also get Rohrbaugh.

Based on the premise in the post
I think only pitchers called up from Tacoma count in September -- which would be the previously mentioned troika of terribleness.

Baek, Huber, and White were activated from the DL, but if you count them as Rainiers based on their rehab assignments, well, that does help a little.  I would still take Felix, Putz, the rest of the bullpen, and the not-so-good but not-so-suck Batista and Washburn.

Marc, so who do you think will be in Tacoma's rotation next April:  Feierabend, Rohrbaugh, Morrow (if not in AA), Thomas, and White, plus a Lehr-like minor league free agent as a swingman?

Err, that should be
I think only pitchers called up from Tacoma in September count . . .

Felix has options left...

We might bring him up to Tacoma
if he promies not to fuck with the chemistry.

No problem
He's been through the wars.
