100 Players you Love to Hate

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=keri/070917&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab3pos2

After the first 99, here's number 100:

"BOBBY AYALA DIVISION

100. Bobby Ayala, Seattle Mariners: Often blamed for the Mariners' inability to break through in the mid-to-late 1990s, despite a roster stocked with Hall of Fame talents such as Randy Johnson, Ken Griffey Jr. and Alex Rodriguez. Normally it's unfair to place all the blame on one player. But did you see this guy pitch?" (Also mentioned, Sexson, #97.)

70. AJ Pierzinski
The best story comes courtesy of GQ: Three years ago in spring training, Pierzynski took a pitch to the groin. Trainer Stan Conte rushed out and asked how he felt. "Like this!" Pierzynski said, right before he kneed Conte in the family jewels.

Holy shit, that's awesome.

I had to e-mail Jonah a detail about Isaiah Rider
Rider had tutors write his papers for him at UNLV, and all he'd put on the paper is his name.  He misspelled his first name on three separate occasions.

Wow.
I haven't thought of Isaiah Rider in years.

As a kid
I was a KC Chiefs fan.  There is no athlete who pissed me off more than John Elway, with his 2 minute game winning drives out of his ass.

by out of his ass...
i assume you mean being the greatest quarter-back of all time?

Arguably
How else do you march that team 80 yards with 2 minutes to go again and again?  And up until his final few years, he didn't even have much of a running game.

Joe Montana
Dan Marino
and a few others would like a word with you.

All moot anyways because in ten years it's going to be Manning and Brady and then everyone else.
