Bavasi: The AD?

Sorry if this has been posted, I haven't really seen it anywhere and was wondering if it was legit. I was browsing the OC Register's sports page and noticed a small side artice that basically said 'Former Angels GM.. Now GM of the Seattle Mariners..Recently has inquired about the Athletic Director position at Cal State Fullerton.' I guess their AD recently resigned or retired. Anyone hear anything about this and know if there is any truth to it? Maybe the one silver lining to blowing the season everyone's been talking about?

Source?
I haven't heard anything about this, and as CSF just hired a new baseball coach, you'd think one of the stories would mention that the guy who made the hire is leaving.

Of course, Brian Quinn (current AD) IS old and all... still, is it just a rumor that he's retiring, or has he actually told people that he wants to?

I was just reading that story
as well, and noticed that UC Irvine who  hired away the baseball coach from Cal State Fullerton, doesn't have an AD at the moment.

ok let me rephrase that
to make it correct, the baseball coach from UC Irvine was just hired away by Cal State Fullerton.... too early and got that completely backwards.

Right
and the old CSF baseball coach will be the head coach at the brand new program at Oregon.

But...um, don't all of these schools have ADs?

I think from what I read
that UC Irvine is the only school that doesn't currently have an AD in place.

It'll be like everything else this season
He will be in the #1 spot for the job, going to the third interview all but a lock and puke all over the Dean's desk in a historic collapse.  CSF will then give the job to someone equally repulsive and we will still be stuck with Bavasi.

Dammit.
