Lopez's Struggles In Persepective To Beltre

I got a little curious so I decided to look how Jose Lopez's bad numbers compared to Beltre's at around the same time, because I remember Beltre wasn't that great.

Here ya go:

Note: AB started playing full time one year (age 21) younger than Lopez and that was his best year until his near MVP season.

21-
AB 290/360/475

22-

AB 265/310/475
JL 282/319/405

23-

AB 257/303/426
JL 258/293/365 (to date)

24-

AB 240/290/424

25-

AB 334/388/629 (2nd in MVP)

Now clearly there is a noticeable difference in SLG %.  Jose doesn't have power right now, we all know that.  But other than that the numbers are very similar.  Just thought I'd throw this out there for everyone who thinks Lopez has no future with the M's.  I'm not saying Lopez is suddenly gonna be an MVP in a few years, he probably won't be, but patience can be a virtue (although Lopez's contract year is a far way away ;-D ).
