Way OT - X games skate crash

As a skateboarder i enjoy watching skateboarding and this is one of the worst crashes i have ever seen. Jake Brown fell between 40 and 50 feet and walked away from it.

One-line diaries are prohibited on Lookout Landing. Give your diary a bit more thought, then give it another shot. If you have nothing to add to your proposed diary, then it probably belongs as a comment under another appropriate thread.

HIS SHOES POPPED OFF ON IMPACT
How the hell does a human being survive that, let alone get up and walk away?

When i was watching it
on espn i thought he was possibly dead, to drop from the high up and hit the flatbottom is crazy

Part of the blame here
has to go to that obscene ramp design. Using such a massive vert wall in there to transfer a skater's momentum is pure television. It would be a better idea to have them roll up another slope to slow themselves down. Ahh, well. That's ESPN's bastardization of skateboarding.

the ramp
design was actually a skater name danny way, he made a ramp like that several years ago to set 2 world records at skating in one swoop, distance plus hieight.

That was brutal!
I saw that last night, and I'm amazed he walked away.

I wonder if anyone found his shoes and gave them back?

isn't there an l'hopital rule in Calculus
I forgot all the math I learned but I remembered the name somehow.

It's a way of taking the limit of a function
You take the derivative of it and then take the limit of that. It doesn't work in some (possibly most) cases, but I've forgotten what they might be.

I remember that rule's name
Since I haven't done Calculus since 2003, I'm not sure how it's applied.
