Far-off question...

But any LL'ers up near Bellingham who plan to go down to the softball game? I know this is a super longshot but I thought it was worth asking. Once.

And AK1984, you will be alright. Take a little time and get another job, and everything will take care of itself.

300 write-up: I was watching the game 8/23 @ TEX with family, and my aunt predicted a score of either 6-4 or 7-5. I made the remark that "Well, 9-4 would be nice."

Adam Jones made that dream a reality.

Dude, nice call on the final score.
Stupidly, I always get the urge to gamble after correctly guessing something like that.

The reason I don't gamble on baseball.
Okay. In my off-hours I've been doing stats for various basketball programs (some of my work can be seen here in the statistics section) so I deal with numbers. A LOT. In various forms. My rate of calculating percentages has increased to where I'm about 1.5% off on numbers under 1000.

With traditional baseball lines, I can't figure any of that crap out. That also equates to baccarat, keno, half a craps table, and slot machines.

Sure, sometimes I play the Lotto despite horrendous odds. But the payoff's not double or nothing there.

I live in bellingham
don't plan on driving up to seattle though.  Just curious, what part are you from?  I live right by fairhaven park near the middle school.

Alabama Hill.
I'm usually seen watching Mariners games at either the QB Pub or the Rogue Hero with a rowdy group of fans around me and a frosty one in front of me.

QB Pub = Sehome Village
They let people like you (minors) in until 9 PM. Free Pool on Tuesdays.

And next summer? Who knows if there will be a bar to drink at when that comes around. I've heard so many rumblings...

I live over by Barkley Haggens
but I can't go down this weekend for the softball game

Not a big fan of the QB but I do love the Rouge. And Bellingham needs to stop shutting down bars its only going to make things worse

Clean up Bellingham...
...by sending people from bars that are not in the sightlines of Railroad Avenue junkies to a bar SUPER CLOSE to Railroad Avenue and their junkies.

I swear, just look at that place from the old bus depot to Everyday Music at any time during any day. It's like a collaboration of society's misfits.

Wait, hold up...
I may have to retract said statement after consulting instant replay.

My situation: No car, may have to work that day, in Bellingham. So if I could get a ride I would totally do it, and I thought you were giving a ride down there. If you are... then I am in. If not, it's networking time.

How did I get roped into this?
Besides, I live in Everett, so cruising up to Bellingham just to come back south to Seattle, then back to Bellingham, then back down to Everett doesn't sound like much fun for a Saturday.

I can't actually make the softball game anyway, my GF is coming back from being out of town for a week, and I need to clean up the house and mow the lawn so it doesn't look like I've been out drinking beer every night while she's been gone!

On a side note, my grandparents have lived in Bellingham my whole life, so I'm pretty familiar with the city. They live up off Northwest Ave.

never mind
i was under the impression you were in bellingham, my bad thingray

No biggie...
I wish I could have helped, and attended, but the scheduling and distances don't really work for me.

If it were in Everett or Lynnwood, I could run in, play some ball, and fly back home to get my stuff done. But with it being in Seattle, there just isn't any way I could do it.
