OT: ex M Cirillo Pitching

He's pitching the 9th in a 9-0 loss for the Diamond backs againt the Brewers. so far, 1 K, a BB, a fly ball, a BB. He's throwing low 80's fastballs, a change, and knucklers.

That was pretty good, but I especially like the D-Backs broadcasting team. I think I've heard people around here mention how good they are, but I've never really checked them out before. That line at the end was great: "You gotta laugh, otherwise you'd cry."

They're decent. They can be a little annoying at

times, but they're pretty smart when it comes to modern stats.

yeah

they are pretty good, Sutton can be a bit of a homer at times, but I'm a huge Mark Grace fan.

And like Goose said, they are pretty decent at using modern stats. They aren't running out things like FIP and OPS +, but they seem to have a pretty good understanding of good statistical analysis.

My favorite

is when Armando Benitez pitches and Grace calls him "The Most Exciting Man in Baseball". Also when a guy throws 80mph and Grace just yells out "gas" or when a guy swings really hard and misses he'll say "that guy's swinging with bad intentions". This year's broadcasting team is much better with Sutton than it was with Brennamen (sp?).

"You guys should be in every major city. This is some heavy shit. This is, like, Lone Ranger heavy, man."
