OT: Podcasts

In anticipation of the wonderful I-5 backups that are coming in the next week or so, I've taken a shine to my iPod.  Unfortunately, music gets old really quick for me.

Anyone into podcasts that can recommend some?  Topic doesn't particularly matter, just something that is interesting that is updated regularly.  I could listen to KVI but Brian Suits > Kirby Wilbur and I can't stand KJR anymore.

Sports-related or not?
There's a ton out there - Filmspotting is a great one, if you like movies.  It's short, but Slate's "Explainer" is pretty good, too, and they have a few others that may be worth checking out.

BP's podcasts are OK, but I get tired of listening to Will Carroll talk about himself and so they have a limited shelf life.

Nice Guys Finish Third - Hopelessly lost, but makin' good time.

The all-day breakfast
Something totally different but equally charming is Danny Baker's podast from his BBC London show.

It's called the "All Day Breakfast Show".

As an employee of the Fisher Radio family...
I have to tell you that Suits is off the air for the next couple weeks for his yearly army training deal. So you also have Larry Elder to look forward to. Fun.

Wall Street Journal This Morning is my favorite
best of Mike and Mike is very good despite being part of ESPN,
NPR has some good ones in all different categories

the best advice would be to just search for things your interested in, theyre all free so you can give them all a try and keep what you like

It's going away soon
But the Dan Patrick Show with Keith Olberman show was absolute gold most of the time.

yeah its really a shame
that was one of my favorites, but i forgot to mention it... there hasn't been a new one in at least a week, so I don't know if they've stopped publishing them, or if the show is already done or what
