Chris Reitsma

Because Raffy Soriano was too unreliable.

Well...
George actually struck out Swisher according to the Tracer and Gameday.  The first pitch was a strike, which means the called strike two would have been strike three.

Also bad that Beltre had to run half a mile to try to get that foul ball with no LF in sight.

Sorry...
guess that should have been in the game log

HE WAS THROWING 87 IN WINTER BALL
Guardado could take a line drive in the mouth, and throw 96 with AIDS!  Soriano is a PUSSY!!111

I'm basically done with this season....
I'm going to be a bandwagon fan for the rest of this year. If the M's have a legitimate shot at the playoffs come mid-September I will be all sorts of fired up. Otherwise, it's not worth getting worked up over.

we basically traded Sorinao for Ho and Reitsma
and we are probably going to trade Wlad or Clement for Dotel.

I hate this team, and the Front Office.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING JOHNNY MAC?!?!

No ...
"we are probably going to trade Wlad and Clement for Dotel."

There, I fixed it.

I was looking back at some of my old comments.
You know which one I miss the most?

Soriano for President.

Fuck Bavasi. Each Mariners mogul team I have, I've converted him to starter for a reason. HE'S GOT SKILLS. (Thanks to him and the king, I've won 2 championships too. <3)

I'm hoping for a miracle.

Vidro, Ibanez, and Reitsma get injured amazingly at the same time. WLAD, Jones, and Mickolio get called up.

by TyranT on Jul 26, 2007 10:09 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Yeah. In the LL baseball Mogul League
He's led me, with Felix and Gagne in my rotation, to two WS championships.  And Bavasi traded him for a below-replacement level arm.

by BrettJMiller on Jul 26, 2007 11:00 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

No
But he's the new guy, and he's still pretty terrible.  Sexson's the problem.  Ibanez and YouBet are the problems.  But I could see them dropping Vidro before they drop those guys.

Really I can see an Adam Jones + Wlad trade to get Meche back.  That's the kind of stupidity I've come to expect at this point.

Chris Reitsma
makes me look like a major league pitcher.

as do I
he will go night in night out and be equally horrendous as the last appearance.

You know what's sad?
We are only 4.0 games out.
He can't even hit the fastball?!?!?!!!!

someone call our pythag

Driving home tonight
a simple thought occurred to me.

We won't make the playoffs.

And suddenly, that idea was okay to me.

Why should we make the playoffs? We certainly don't deserve to. Teams that make the playoffs make moves in-season to improve that don't necessarily include mortaging the farm system in exchange for an old reliever like Dotel.

All we have to do is promote Jones. Failing that, we can drop Ibanez in the order. McLaren could not make Lopez bunt so often. We could let Morrow learn to start in the minors. It's simple.

But instead, we're stuck with the same tired lineup, day in and day out.

Screw that. I love the Mariners, but in its current incarnation, they deserve to lose.

You're 100% Right
This is actually a bad team.  A bad team that can play well, rather than the Angels - who are a good team that occasionally plays poorly.  There's nothing really we can do, because there is nothing that the FO will ever do.

Although I am 100% for everyone going to the game wearing an Adam Jones mask, just in case.

Who does the Komo post-game show?
"Raul has been clutch.  He is leading my ballclub in rbi's..he's hitting in the upper 270's..he's not who has been struggling"

He's garbage...not clutch...hitting .258...struggling like no other.

I hate homer reporters

I fucking hate you Mariners

that'd be Dave Valle...
who apparently bought the club and we didn't know it or something.

Valle/Glasgow/Hutlyer, I believe
They're not smart and they're tools, which makes them perfect for KOMO.

Just got home from a BBQ, still a little buzzzed
from the 10 duck farts I had. Didn't think about the Mariners once. Fucking sweet.

Ibanez can suck my fat dick. so can Reetmsa. Fuck him, fuck him.

These pretzels....are making me thirsty!

I'd never heard of a duck fart
And now, after Googling it, I must try it.

by patsfan on Jul 26, 2007 11:38 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Neither had I until today. And it sounded nasty
when I first heard of it, but after trying it, fucking eh wasn't that bad at all.

Tip for Bavasi:
There is a reason pitchers get to be former Braves. They don't make mistakes letting pitchers go. If Atlanta lets a pitcher go, stay far, far away.

Ho and Reitsma could have been predicted if you never saw their stats, never saw their scouting report. All you had to do was look at the list of former employers.

by AnotherAaron on Jul 26, 2007 11:52 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

didn't they
let both Glavine and Maddox go when they both still had some left in the tank?

by MfaninAlaska on Jul 27, 2007 12:16 AM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

OK
There is an exception to the rule for future Hall of Famers who are either demanding a metric assload of money or take less than the Braves offer to play somewhere else.

I think even Geoff Baker has given up
no gamethread, no post game info...nothing.

Baker is lucky, he lasted 4 months before the team made his head explode.

he posted this wednesday....
maybe he's preoccupied...by choice...

"My father is making a trip to Seattle for the first time since I moved out here. I took him with on a road trip seven years ago but that's the only time he's been out there before. Obviously, plenty has changed and I have a lot of prep work to do before his late afternoon arrival from Montreal."

Well...
If I can find one glimmer of hope in this season, Bavasi will be fired by the end of it.  Let's just hope that he doesn't screw up the farm too much before he goes.

F*** you Bavasi, you and your little dog too.  You ruined the joy of Mariner Baseball for me.

by jullberg on Jul 27, 2007 1:14 AM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Doubtful
The Mariners are going to have to lose ALOT more than this for that to happen. Maybe if they go 15 games under .500 in the 2nd half...

And what the fuck is Chris Reitsma doing in the 8th, anyway?!
