I had no idea Ichiro had a dog

I know this is not likely worthy of a diary, but I had not seen here yet and I thought it was hugely hilarious.

"When asked whose counsel he valued most during contract negotiations that began in January, he said, "Ikky, my dog."
"He said, 'Ruff, ruff, ruff,"' a smiling Suzuki said through an interpreter. "That means, 'Stay, stay, stay."'

I love it.
He's the best interview subject since Eric Cantona.

I knew he had a dog.
It came up in an interview a few years ago.  Ichiro was asked what he did in his spare time, and he said he played with his dog.  But when the reporter asked the dog's name the exchange got weird.

"I can't tell you his name.  I don't have his permission."

At least
you'd hope that's not what he meant.

Well....
No, I just meant that Ichiro values his dog's opinions and advice more.

Ichiro
is either a bit off his rocker, or a comedic genious.  I'm thinking the second one.

Then Putz is Moses.
A little OT, but does anyone know what his name means in Hebrew slang?

Pussy. Or at least that's what I've heard; I've never consulted a Rabbi about it.

Felix, you magnificent bastard.

Could be.
I was told by a half-Jewish friend who's actually a Christian, so while I trust his Hebrew much more than mine, he could be wrong. In truth, your source could easily be just as or more credible.
