Long Time M's Fan Passes Away

Not much to say on this other than I thought this was a really nice story and I did not see it linked anywhere on LL.  I like the story about her pounding the guy with the handbag.  I also enjoyed the fact that she was heading down to Cactus League Games before it was cool.  People may not realize this, but back in the day Spring Training Games were practically free and you could basically hang out with the players and talk to them.  I lived in Tuscon when I was a kid and we used to go watch the Indians (back when they were in AZ the first time)

re: spring training games
it is sad how they've changed. they've jumped the shark.

They may have changed
but in a lot of ways they're still more fun than regular season games.  And cheaper.

One thing I've noticed on the way to Safeco games
The old Asian peanuts guy who would stand with bags of peanuts raised in the air and yell PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEANUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTS! has disappeared.  I'm led to wonder if he has passed on as well :(

What?
He was there this past Thursday, but that's the last time I walked down Occidental before the game.

Oh good, whew
I just hadn't seen him this season.  Glad he's still alive and screaming.  PEEEEEEEEEEEEEANUTS!
