Around SBN: Has Kentucky Improved Since the Non-Conference Season?

It's time

To have the Lookout Landing logo be not sinking. I mean, I know we're on a sort of lose 5 win 5 streak, but still... Just put USS Putz on the side of the ship and call it good to float in the Sound.

BTW- I think that the 300 character limit is a great idea. I mean, what would we ever do without having to write 300 characters? I think I'll just try and make some of you guys (and Deanna) think a little bit...

"We get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. Yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number, really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, some afternoon that's so deeply a part of your being that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four or five times more. perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless."
- Paul Bowles (American Author)

Oh hell no. It stays. I believe it was put up
after we lose that 6th game in a row, since then we've gone 8-1 over our last 9.

Is this a sort of NathanHo
Jinx we feel like Jeff has put on us? As if our image has anything to do with houw jose guillen hits (bloopcoughchoppercoughhardhitballtorightcough).

anyways... I'm really just glad someone else is awake at this hour right now. I definitely shouldn't be...

I need a quick reminder though; why is brandon morrow not starting for Tacoma? Whatever that 80 mph toss was to Thomas, I never want to see it again, because it is like a mateo "slider" in the sense it will get absolutely killed once they know it's coming.... That better not be hit splitter out pitch.

Sweet baby jesus.

Despite being very drunk
I think the image must stay.  It's been great luck.

Wanna know what else has been great luck???
Tying my left shoe first before every basketball game since I can remember. All that happened was a loss to Seattle Prep and than some other Metro team I can't remember right now...

Maybe I can blame Pepple.

Yeah I'm a graduated Islander- go ahead and bash if you want... No place to do it like anonymous cyberspace

I'm normally not a superstitous man, but the way
I figure it, it can't hurt. It's like here at work. Whenever we're getting our asses kicked and the players are going on a winning streak, my floor guy calls up to me and says "start chanting". So I focus one of my camera's on the player(s) who are kicking our ass and I start doing this weird Indian chant, and my floor guy sneakingly throws salt behind the players.

Weather it works or not doesn't matter. Can't hurt to try.

I'll be honest...
I don't really know what you just said right there.

All I know is I want some salt on my next meal.

As far as traditions go, though, I think it's totally fine to stick with something, but we've got an obligation to see if it really is part of the solution (the logo, i mean). If we change it and we lose, then I'll just be quiet: until I'm ready to talk again, at least. But a little seattle optomism, especially after our supes draft, is much needed.

BTW I'm a big fan of what Presti has done in his short time with the team. Ray was only getting older, and our #2 and #5 are only going to get better. Wow, now just wait for Swift to not be so awkward, and the Oklahoma City Sonics will be ready to rock you... Oh wait.

Dammit.

I believe I can sum it up
if it aint broke, dont fix it

What happens?
if it IS BROKE (Yuni's glove), and you still don't fix it/ pretend he's a productive .295-.300 hitter?

The way I see it is
We had the "normal" logo during our three years of losing. Now we have a depressing logo, and we're winning.

That is NOT a coincidence.

Look at the image this way
It is the sinking ships of our opposition who were foolhardy enough to think they could row into town and sink the Mariners.

nice
touché.

It's unfortunate that Houston fashions a stronger navy, as we were embarassed when playing them.
