I hope she decides that the Mariners are now
winners, and that she needs to see more of their games this weekend. I want to run into her at Safeco this Friday and kick her in her box. And push her down the stairs.

Can we finally get too the

You see Davis in the 10th?
He was horrible! It took some terrific fielding to get out of it.

I just now noticed
they gave Jason Davis Moyer's old number.

I would have thought it would take a player with a bit more talent to wear that so soon.

by Happybelly on Jun 27, 2007 8:57 PM PDT reply actions

I don't know if I'd use the word talent
Davis has some talent.  He can throw fairly hard.

I don't know how much pure talent Moyer actually has.  I like to think Moyer is evidence that people of average talent and extraordinary makeup can excel at baseball.

I hope Sarah was at all 3 games
and that she was crushed and devastated after all games.

I hope she's crying, because the one time she got she her "beloved" Sox play this year, they all lost all 3 times!!

Oh and Pineiro still sucks.

Sarah, Christina and Jodi
Spokane white trash who believe that a pink sox hat classes em up one day a year.  You are not fooling anyone ladies.  And give Adam Morrison's illegitimate children a big hug for me.

How about leave we Spokane and Morrison out of this. The poeple are transplants from Connecticut.

Representing

Get my fries order right next time Sarah.

Seconded about the Wilbur article
being a great read. I remember being on vacation in Cape Cod with my family in the mid-90s and being able to go up to Fenway on a whim with my dad to catch a ballgame. Last year a friend of mine had to wakeup at 6a the day the tickets went on sale to wait in a cyber line for seats.

And speaking of Cape Cod, if you ever find yourself up there in the summer, do yourself a favor and checkout the Summer League. It's about as pure a game as you can find.

OHHH PRINCE
Did anyone see Prince Fielder's flying headfirst slide into 2nd today against the Astros.  How does Mark Loretta still have his left leg?

by Gomez on Jun 27, 2007 9:29 PM PDT reply actions

Just saw it...
I'm sure Loretta's got a second knee in there now. That Prince Fielder's a massive guy - the way he went in there was hilarious.
I wish this event were tonight. When is it? February. Then why are you wearing a tux? It's after 6 - what am I, a Farmer?

I mean, that 2004 series really was for THEM.  And I gotta believe all this RSN crap in visiting stadiums devalues it a little bit for the ones who really suffered.

Yep. Like the article said. It all of those Sox
fans were legit, I wouldn't have much of a problem with it. Because hey, good for them for showing that much loyalty for their team. But 90% of those fans are bandwagon fans who don't know anything about the team.

Ichiro with 11 putouts and of a lot of hard hit shots at that. BoSox batters musta felt the pressure, what a range. :) I love that guy.

I will admit
that I've tried saying it several different ways, but so far none of them have really sounded right.

Maybe I just need to cheer normally and hold up a sign that says "Putz wooooooooo" when I'm at the ballpark instead.

He's been doing it for years.  Of course, you'll have to start playing the 2001 Theme for JJ Putz form now on instead of AC/DC's "Thunderstruck".
