Safeco Upgrade?

So the "in" thing for stadiums these days is the LCD video screens across the stadium (like in STL or ANA) along the second level seats...

Are there any plans to upgrade the video/presentation system at Safeco anytime soon?  We're starting to look a bit "dated" compared to all those new fangled stadiums ;o)

They are required to keep the stadium up to date
I would think that the Jumbotron would be the first to be replaced since every park seems to be going to   wide screen HD. Not to mention ours is pretty dated as it is with all its broken panels.

What I really want is a decent out of town scoreboard, perhaps something thats as informative as the one in PNC Park. Leave the warp around LCD's to arena sports.

Safeco's "Jumbotron"
I was at a game a couple of weeks ago I had a discussion with my wife about how Safeco's "jumbotron" is equivalent to a 13" Bedroom TV compared to most new ballparks.

I'd love to see that thing expanded.

Those things are incredibly annoying
They have them at most big soccer stadia now and oh my god are they annoying.  The ones at Dodger Stadium are irksome, too.  I don't want to watch a video game at a ballpark - give me a good out-of-town scoreboard, give me a good Jumbotron, and call it good.
Nice Guys Finish Third - Hopelessly lost, but makin' good time.

Oh, please don't
I actually LOVE the way the scoreboards are set up along the infield area.  I love that it's pitch counts, inning recap, batter/average/etc.  I'm so totally used to it that changing it would actually majorly change my game experience.  The only thing I'd do is add the homerun tape measure to right field, instead of just having it by the leftfield foulpole.

I don't really have a problem with our out-of-town scoreboard either.  If I really wanted to follow other games more, I wouldn't be at Safeco in the first place.

The large scoreboard next to the jumbotron
would still say "LOUDER" or "NOISE".
No, sir, they're saying Boo-vasi.

Who the heck
goes to a game to care about Jumbotrons and scoreboards?

I honestly don't think I look at the Jumbotron once during a game.

Keep people's focus on the game, there are enough people there that don't pay any attention to the game.

Probably not
It's not imperative to the game experience and the jumbotron and scoreboards work just fine as it is.
