Official Lookout Landing Shop
12:00AM 6/15 UPDATE: Because the shop's been having some weird display issues as the websites works out some kinks, I've changed the link. Now clicking the link below will take you to a page with the six eight! current images. Click on the image you want to be taken to a page of shirts with that picture.
----------
11:39PM 6/14 UPDATE: If anyone here is getting a "bibit-error code: 2" message when they try to make a purchase, please either leave a comment or email me. The issue's being forwarded to Spreadshirt.com customer service, but I'm curious if this is an isolated incident or a larger problem. I should probably note that I submitted an order two days ago, and I received a confirmation email and shipping notice pretty quickly, so it *is* possible to work with this. It's just needlessly difficult is all.
----------
11:30PM 6/14 UPDATE: Okay, I've been working on making the shop a little more efficient tonight. Rather than displaying all of the different colors as individual products, I've made it so that clicking on the desired product gives you a range of color options instead. I think every shirt in there should let you select from a few choices, now (let me know if one of them doesn't). If you're looking to buy, make sure you choose the color you want, otherwise you'll get whatever the default display one is.
Obviously, still more designs on the way. And hey, it looks like the website's starting to get a lot of its bugs worked out since re-launching a week ago, so yay for that.
----------
1:59AM 6/14 UPDATE: Spreadshirt.com is having some weird bugs right now but in theory the store should currently have 89 products, including some new Putz stuff. I've emailed them to figure out what's going on, but in the meantime you might have to do a little digging to find it. For example, from the main page, in the pulldown menu under Shop where it says "All Articles," select one of the other options instead. That seems to work.
----------
It's still a work in progress, but here's a link for future reference.
Plenty more designs are on the way. Let this be a thread for questions, suggestions, and praise for how totally awesome I am acknowledgment of how freaking annoying it is to build an online apparel shop.
NOTE: the little red (R) in the upper left corner of the Yuni-Bomber shirts tells the designers to remove the white background, so that'll blend a lot better than it looks. More designs will be up tomorrow.

Also going to add something related to Felix Day and Funk Blasts, although for the latter I don't think we'll be able to use an image. We'll see.

It's not transparent?
It was when I was making the shirts
by Jeff Sullivan on Jun 12, 2007 4:58 PM PDT up reply actions
Hmm.
If, however, you select white apparel, the digital image will have a transparent background.
If you select apparel that is not white, there are 2 possible ways we can produce your design, with or without the background*.
If the background is transparent or white, we will trim it away. If the background is not transparent or white, you can put "R(color)" in the bottom right of your image file and this will alert our production team to trim this color away. The R stands for Remove and you put the color that you want removed in the parenthesis.
*Important: Make sure that the design you wish to have cut out has a distinguished contour and that the smallest parts are at least .06 inches in size. Otherwise, the image will not be cut out and the background will be printed.
Well that's interesting.

The Yuni-bomber shirt was a bit much
More color options?
Some modifications needed
It might not be so bad if it blended in more,
Knowing me, I'd forget and wear it to the airport or something.
That's what happens when you drink too much
You should do one
"L.L. more xFIP then we know what to do with."
that would make non-sabermetric fans scrath their heads.
how bout
Can we get some

Logos are too small.
by Jeff Sullivan on Jun 12, 2007 5:00 PM PDT up reply actions
You can make them bigger in photoshop.
Put me down
A shirt with a "Putz in" on the front and "Game over" on the back would be a definite buy for me as well.

Hats would rock (preferably black),
Good call.
It'll all be worth it
Thanks for all your hard work Jeff!
Ok so I obviously have nothing better to do...

I also own happyfelixday.com, still trying to figure out how best to use it.

LOVE THE DESIGN
All right, you know what?
My email is linked along the left-hand menu under References (CONTACT JEFF). If any of you decide to tackle that idea, or come up with ideas of your own, send them along and I can add them to the shop.
I've got a few rattling around.
I was thinking
Tee question!
Oh, and is the shop up now? Can I buy yet?
Doesn't blend perfectly, but it's close.

Eventually.

Can you put stuff on the back? Or would that make
Because the Putz in Game Over shirts would look even cooler with the LL logo on the back.
There are a few like that

Looking good
Pretty decent prices, too. Top bombing.

The store took a shit right as I placed my order
I see no record of you making a purchase.
by Jeff Sullivan on Jun 14, 2007 9:55 AM PDT up reply actions
Here's a contact:
I made a purchase of my own that isn't showing up on the site, but I did get an email confirmation of my order. If you didn't get one of those, your order probably didn't go through, but don't try again until you email them and hear back.
Sorry for the bugs - I didn't realize the website was overhauling itself when I chose it.

My turn

The more I look at it I think the 20 needs to be moved over more. But Jeff if you want it, leave a comment and I will send you a full sized image.

Can we get a Jeff Weaver
And perhaps a marijuana leaf in the background?
Would the funk blast shirts of Richie be ok to use as well? if not those would be kind of cool.
What about a....
"Ayala In! Game Over!"
Of course a slightly different outcome then the Putz shirt.

To the great designers
Jeff, the store is coming along great. I'm definitely going to order a shirt or two soon once all the designs are in and I decide which one I like the best. Maybe Happy Felix Day w. a new logo on the back, love the Putz In Game Over shirts, especially the new logo above.
Here's a hi-res Gil Meche Throwing design:
Full credit goes to the original designer, whom I can't seem to recall. I just blew it up in Illustrator in case anyone might like it on a t-shirt. Great way to remember one of the greatest Mariner pitchers of all time.

Awww shucks.
I'll have to wait to get home, but I can definitely resize them for printing.
by PositivePaul on Jun 15, 2007 10:08 AM PDT up reply actions
I prefer sepia.
If you could resize it when you get home, that'd be killer.
by Jeff Sullivan on Jun 15, 2007 10:12 AM PDT up reply actions
DO IT!!!!
Does that mean you'd get a kickback of the sales from that shirt since it's your photo?

Heh.
Still bumbling through my mind for another idea that won't get me in trouble, so I can fund my next camera (especially since my camera's having major issues right now). I could slap it on credit card and pay it off quickly and all, but my wife won't let me do that. She rightfully wants to see me make something out of my camera investments...
by PositivePaul on Jun 15, 2007 10:47 AM PDT up reply actions
I heard about some new camera technology
Yep.
My lust for SLRs are way beyond $900 ones -- I just wait for the $5-10,000 ones to come down to $900, so I can even somewhat realistically think about buying one. I'd be thrilled if Nikon were to introduce the new D3X, especially if it's full-frame like it's rumored to be. That way, people with much more money than I'll ever dream of having will flood the market with their D2X's so I can scoop up someone's under-appreciated camera for a song. As it is, I'd be happy having the 4.1 megapixel D2H, since it's actually close to being realistic for me to actually buy.
My DSLR's 2.7 megapixels. It's proof, actually, that megapixels are WAAAY overrated. That said, yeah, I wouldn't mind having the 4.1 in the D2H. Really, 6-8 would be ideal for me, as if you start getting too many pixels, you chew through memory cards and hard drives unnecessarily.

By the way
I'm on it. I've got a pretty good idea for one.
by Slozbury Stouvre on Jun 15, 2007 11:12 AM PDT up reply actions
Okay, how's this for a rough draft?
Can people tell this is a post-save Putz silhouette? Or does that fist look like a giant boner? I could add some shadowing to the outline, but then it might become more obvious that I took this from an AP Photo.
by Slozbury Stouvre on Jun 15, 2007 12:03 PM PDT reply actions
I immediately thought sillhouette.
Speaking of totally wrong comic book covers

" If someone were to Photoshop in some different dialog,
this could be the most wrong cover ever."
Heh.
by PositivePaul on Jun 15, 2007 2:18 PM PDT up reply actions
Guess they don't call him the
Wood, boner, I get it.
If that's Putz boner,
Something needs to be done with the surprise face
"Sarcastic statement"
:Surprise face:
"I'm shocked!"
I just don't know what the sarcastic statement should be.
It's not our image.

Parodies, are evidently fine...
Er, nevermind.
I'm still waitin' for Gomez to kick my ass for that one ;-)
by PositivePaul on Jun 15, 2007 1:32 PM PDT up reply actions
Maybe as a silhouette
by Jeff Sullivan on Jun 15, 2007 2:22 PM PDT up reply actions
Imagine this with less suck

But for that image I was thinking silhouette anyway.
Crown?
by PositivePaul on Jun 15, 2007 11:04 PM PDT up reply actions
The crown is a little over the top
This better?
It kind of seems like those small shadows might wear out pretty quick on a t-shirt, though.
