The Next LL Game?

Why not this Sunday?  I know it's short turn-around for most folks, but it's also the next start for the King and against our hated rivals the Padres!  It's a 1:05 start time, which is good news for those of us who work nights and thus can't partake of fun things like evening baseball games very often.

Giants fan?
Uh, no.  I'm a die-hard M's fan.  Perhaps you are confused because David, one of my writers, is a Giants fan?

I'm already going this Sunday,
since it's on my 16-game plan, but, seriously, I think if we're going to do a weekend one it might take a little bit more planning (to see if some of the out-of-towners can make it, and also to make sure we can either get our acts together buying tickets or to make sure we can find a location in the stands that isn't going to be too crowded to congregate).

This weekend is Little League weekend, which actually means that a lot of the upper deck seats might already be taken by groups of little league teams.  (Seriously.  You think I'm kidding, but I've seen some of these weekend games where the upper deck is PACKED and there are still plenty of empty seats in the lower levels.  There's a bunch of special events for little leaguers and then they get discounted seats in the upper deck, much like the BECU $10 deal.)

But, I'm not saying not to go ahead and do this.  Especially because, crap, I just looked at the next 1pm game and it's also a Little League Day, so eh.

I wonder if there'd be an efficient way to set these up in general.  Believe it or not, the next BECU night is Monday 6/4 against the Orioles, and if I've counted correctly, it should be another Felix start.

I get back from NY May 26th
A time after that would be awesome.

One of the challenges
is that, being a weekend game, affordable tickets will be in higher demand as people will be off and thus will plan to attend the game.  Plus, Felix!  One of the things that worked last night was that it was $10 BECU family night, plus being a Tuesday night game against the Angels, demand for seats wasn't too high.

A good idea, if you decide to do the bleachers or the $18 View Reserved seats, would be to meet up as a group before the game and try to snag tickets as a group, assuring everyone will be together.

Yeah, except that's a pain to coordinate
if not everyone can arrive at the same time... you'd still end up having some stragglers coming in later, or earlier, especially depending on whether some people like to come in for BP and not.

I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea to coordinate for this Sunday, just that the weekendness of it makes it a bit more difficult.  If anyone wants to come sit with me and my camera in the lower deck they're welcome to, of course :)

$38 for a single ticket.
($30 for me since I have a 16-game plan.)

Depending on the circumstances and how conspicuous you are, it's still possible to sneak into Field from elsewhere, though.  Not that I'd ever condone such activities.

Maybe if we joined forces with USSM
Although honestly I enjoy the Left field bleachers just as much as any seat in the stadium and they always cost 10 dollars. Not to mention the atmosphere's there is always more fun and the increased chances of catching a Kenji FB.

I was
just thinking it might be easier coordinate

Awwww, c'mon guys...
... cast something a bit further into the future, make it vaguely considerable for us who like to travel distances!

I'm thinking
August 29th. We play the Angles, and it should be good.

Coincidentally
That's the game I'm bringing some friends from England to since they're over for my 21st.

Now, that...
... is a good shout. I was prospectively looking to pop over at the end of August myself.

Just think. It'd be like a corner of Safeco that was forever England. Or something.

Like it, gives us three months to book flights! ;o)

Ah, but...
... it's a lunchtime game.

Might screw it up for quite a few?
