Oh My God

I've been in Idaho the last three days, up north enjoying life in Coeur d'Alene, and I haven't been watching the games.

But I have been looking at the WE charts, and all I ahve to say is that the M's look really bad and they should get drunk because they couldn't possibly play any worse.

this is embarassing. I mean, I bowled a 68 tonight, and that was embarassing, but this is really embarassing. You're major fucking leaguers, you pitchres. Now pitch.

Damn Dave
A 68? How drunk were you? :)

Let's just put it this way
After I bowled that was shortly after I downed the most beer I've ever downed in such a limited (under an hour) period of time. We're talking 9-10 beers in under an hour. My stomach was churning and the alcohol was in my system hard.

108-160 ounces of beer in under an hour?
I don't think that's humanly possible for a number of reasons.

Maybe not that much
I wasn't specifically counting,

but still...a ton of beer. I got Fucked Up, and I'm not really a lightweight.

Actually
I ended up terrorizing Washington this morning. I'm already back in Tacoma.

that's okay.
I'm in Pittsburgh and I haven't looked at a Mariners box score in four days.

I did, however, look at the Phillies box score yesterday.  Cole Hamels is ours, and you can't have him.

Marinerds - a different daily dose of baseblog.

I drank my first 40 last night
that was awesome

And managed to somehow get through Freebird on expert at 2am in Guitar Hero

Shop smart......Shop s-mart...... YOU GOT THAT!!!!

You may think that it was awesome
but you will learn that 40s suck.  Thats why bums drink them.  I'm pretty sure that malt liquor has heavy metals and probably gives you cancer.

but how I feel right now
I don't think I will do it again anytime soon

They are actually kinda fun communal drinks
get a few and split them between a group.  Whenever the taste is too horrible you just pass it off and then everybody gets messed up cause they get passed around so fast.

well yeah, 40s of Olde English or stuff
but you can get 40s of Bud, Coors, Miller, etc and they're of the same quality as 12 packs (poor, but w/e)

I disagree
40's are cool in the same way that dive bars are great.

Hooray for irony.

Edward 40-Hands
Might be the greatest drinking game ever.

If you like pissing your pants, fratboy...
I haven't drunk 40s regularly since I was 15 and they put that Wal-Mart in. It displaced the transient who bought them for me and the whole white-trash menagerie of Vancouver, "Jim the Bum". His shanty home was called "the hole". We were pretty creative, huh?

Heavy Metal Poisoning
I remember learning about that in high school chemistry for the first time.  My friend Bob immediately dubbed it megadeath.  The whole class lol'd.

I always found...
... Rainier Ale to be a drinkable 40 when I was in my "damn, I'm a broke college student" phase in my mid-20's. (I usually didn't do the whole 40, though. I did weird stuff like drink some, use some for cooking steak in the discount bin, green peppers, mushrooms and onions for dinner.)

The other stuff is pure swill, though. Sheaf Stout's sometimes available fairly cheap in a big bottke and is good for drinking.

ah...
So it is possible to enjoy life in Coeur d'Alene?  It must have involved the golf course or the lake, right?
Sports and Bremertonians. Because we can.

Nah
It involved North Idaho College's dorms, a bowling alley, a property management complex, my friend's townhouse, and another friend's apartment.

And Hudson's Burgers. That place kicks ass.
