I'm here in Hawaii, as some of you know.  I get off work at 6pm Pacific time.  My plan was to watch the archived feed of Felix/Daisuke after I got done listening live to Game 1 of Stars/Canucks.  That game started a bit after 7p Pacific.  

Now if the Canucks would have just held on to a two-goal lead in the third period like they should have, then it wouldn't have been too bad.  Instead, they tried to sit on the lead, which they've been guilty of a few times this season.  

Four overtimes later, Henrik Sedin finally scored just after 12:30a Pacific time, Thursday morning.  

Another off-topic topic waiting to happen -- the game was through three overtimes and at midnight Pacific time, Versus cut away to the originally scheduled program, which of course was a paid program for the Supreme Pilates exercise apparatus.  I was hearing the Versus studio crew talk about how much ice time the defensemen were racking up, Ken Hitchcock's huge noggin was on the screen talking about team defense, then all of a sudden, BAM!  Supreme Pilates.  The worst part?  The game feed never came back.

Anyway, hooray to Felix in a game that I will totally see in its entirety in the very near future, hooray to the Canucks for winning the sixth-longest game in NHL history, and a big giant BOO to the NHL for teaming up with Versus because as much as I think ESPN takes things for granted sometimes, having an important game pre-empted by a paid program would never happen on ESPN.
