Around SBN: How A Letter From Tom Coughlin Helped One Fan's Recovery

Lookout Landing ranks #6 in all of baseball blog-land!

http://prweb.com/releases/2007/3/prweb513651.htm

"The SBI is the first ever standard measurement to identify the top blogs across all sports and in each major sports category and aims to be a helpful tool to determine where the most passionate fans go on the Internet and which blogs carry the most weight."

Not too shabby, eh?  Congratulations, Jeff!  You definitely deserve this sort of acclaim.

As an added note, check out who is listed at #7...  Seattle is -very- well represented.

Haha
I can't help but think that the beer thread pushed this blog over USSM.
I will have to run the remaining bases in hilarious desperation with my new knee-feet.

6th or 7th?
The "official" standings on their site list USS Mariner 6th and Lookout Landing 7th. Which one is the typo?

Wow
you're totally right. I'd imagine the "official" standings are correct.

I suspect
That the stats have shifted since the article was published - i.e. the 'official' standings are dynamic and the article was a snapshot.

by Graham MacAree on Mar 26, 2007 1:35 PM PDT up reply actions

You're probably right
but the way the article read it was this months standings.

by RavingGoat on Mar 26, 2007 2:02 PM PDT up reply actions

Hmmm.
I don't see SOSH listed.  That blog has to be the biggest baseball blog on the planet, so I'm not convinced of these results...
Iceberg, right ahead!

I dunno
I don't even think of SOSH as a blog. It's like a huge monster.

by Corco on Mar 26, 2007 12:41 PM PDT up reply actions

SoSH
SoSH is probably classed as a message board, not a blog.

SoSH?
Hot potato is an entirely different game when you're starving

by Mariner John on Mar 26, 2007 5:20 PM PDT up reply actions

It's a Red Sox message board
SoSH stands for "Sons of Sam Horn."  Horn himself was a slugger who was probably best known for frequent Ks.

by ebbnflow on Mar 26, 2007 5:53 PM PDT up reply actions

And, I suppose...
...a similar one named for Richie Sexson would be "SLOSH"

Are they the typical annoying Sox fans?

I am pretty sure
that Curt Schilling used to post there and I thought that I had heard that John Henry (owner) also frequents it as well.

NOT Sixth Best
Just sixth most popular, Jeff. No arguing against LookoutLanding being the best....

Too bad
these things don't have cash prizes, right Jeff?

C'mon Edgar
You already got your $1 when Hargrove was retained, right? How much more do you want?

It was $5
and all your money got lost in the mail.

Love the idea
of the AN tics comic.  I bet I could start putting together some 3 panel M's webcomics.

Might be kind of fun.

I'm thinking about making a LL group on Facebook
As long as Jeff doesn't have any problems with it.

by Robert on Mar 26, 2007 10:05 PM PDT reply actions

Go to town.
I'm not on Facebook anymore myself, but that doesn't seem like a problem to me.

by Jeff Sullivan on Mar 27, 2007 6:09 AM PDT up reply actions

Kick ass
Now I just need to come up with a clever group name.

by Robert on Mar 27, 2007 9:18 AM PDT up reply actions

How many here
Are actually ON facebook?

by Garces on Mar 27, 2007 9:48 AM PDT up reply actions

I kinda am.
I signed in once to check things out, then haven't been back. Heh.

I thought you had to have a college

Or maybe I am just completely clueless about the whole thing.

They opened it up
At the start of October. Luckily it hasn't been myspaceified yet. I guess the lack of annoying multimedia options is a real deal breaker for some.
