sadly, I've never been able to play guitar games -- they hurt my arms too much. Figured that out with Guitar Freaks about six years ago, and it didn't change with the new controllers for Guitar Hero.

What sucks is, of course, that at least with Guitar Freaks, I could still play the songs because they have the same list between that and Drummania, or a lot of them would show up in Keyboardmania or Pop'n'Music or some other Bemani game, since Konami likes to rotate the popular songs around. But Guitar Hero doesn't really have a counterpart... I suppose they're not going to make another version of Amplitude/Frequency any time soon, are they?

I have heard of someone

creating a piece of software that can teach you how to play your real guitar. You just plug into your computer and go through the notes and it tells you wether or not you hit the right note.
