I remember reading

a question to Bob Melvin about using Ichiro as a pitcher in a blow out. He said no, because his arm is too precious, but that he knew ichiro wanted to pitch. How did he know? Well, sometimes during fielding practice, ichiro would throw a curve to the first baseman.

Wow

He looks like such a skinny little kid.

The only Japanese I recognized was early on when he strikes out a guy the announcer says "San shing" or however its spelled... the same thing they would put on the board for Sasaki's K's.

Also: I'm glad we don't have to listen to marching bands at Mariner's games. That would get annoying as hell.

They should totally bring Choji Murata to MLB.

Dude might be almost 60 years old but he can still throw 85 mph.

As for the marching bands in the video, I was totally thinking how they still use those exact same songs now at Koshien and Jingu and all, it's funny. And Aikodai has really boasted a formidable lineup of baseball players. Yikes.
