I'm not convinced

that the ball used to record the final out of a relatively effortless sweep by a team that's won two WS titles in three years is a "historical artifact".

My dog likes to eat baseballs too

I just found one half chewed a couple nights ago. He'll play nice with them for a week or two, then it's "good bye baseball".

My friends dog used to shag golf balls for him when praticed chipping in his back yard. The dog would grab three or four at a time and bring them back to his mat. One day the dog became ill and they took it to the vet where he got X-Rayed. The dog had apparently over time swallowed 13 golf balls which were still in his stomach. He had surgery to remove the golf balls and is doing well now.
